Guest guest
Hi all, my question is this: If a person tests positive for H1N1, or eventually comes down with the virus, will that person then be exempt from the vaccination? My husband found out today that at a company picniche attended yesterday, he was in close contact with a manager who's wife (a RN) tested positive for H1N1, and that the manager has also tested positve today. My husband said the manager looked felt fine, asymptomatic...and I realize that there have been several false positives. But now, with my husband's entire department possibly being exposed, they might push Tamiflu or a vaccine when its ready on them. I am assuming if you do come down with the virus, that you wouldn't need the vaccine, right? This could be the blessing we have been praying for; my hubby has been worried that he might be forced to take the vaccine in order to keep his job.(He works at a medical school and major University hospital.) Should we hope he gets sick, so he won't have to be vaccinated? Or will the pandemic require vaccinations even for the people who have previously had the virus?
