Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I had MS type symptoms as you can read below, not listed is that I trip a lot, I loos my balance at times and I have joint pain, burning in the breasts and so forth. A well know neurologist in the Bay area said that I did not have MS and that is all that he treats he recommended that I have the SPECT MRI done, e sugguested the FLAIR MRI after they started this so called normal MRI of the brain the higher spikes I think is what caused the doctor to order the FLAIR MRI. The wierd thing is that I spoke with a lady that had silicone implants and her so called NORMAL MRI also had these same kind of high readings.... now I am beginning to wonder if there is something here that the doctors are missing with us? Has anyone had MRI reports like this? Please Let me know. Debbie I will be praying for you precious one that Jesus will touch and heal your body, mind soul and spirit through the power of His precious blood! Take care and please keep me all of us posted! In Christ, Deb MRI SPECTROSCOPY OF THE BRAIN: 8/7/01 HISTORY: Headaches, dizziness, nausea, blurred and double vision, slurred speech, memory loss, difficulty processing information, numbness and tingling left side, arm and leg. TECHNIQUE: The study WAS PERFORMED USING GE 1.5t Horizon LX Echo- Speed magnet system. Sagittal T1 weighted, spin echo images and axial FLAIR weighted images were obtained initially. Four different voxels were isolated, one in each frontal lobe and one in centrum semi ovale bilaterally. MRS method utilized probe-STEM technique and four separate spectra were obtained. FINDINGS: No foci of abnormal signal intensities are seen on FLAIR weighted images to suggest foci of demyelination disease. Sagittal T1 weighted images appear normal. The four spectra all show a strong NAA peak which is much greater than the creatine and choline peaks. On three of the four spectra, the creatine peak is greater than the choline peak wall in the foUrth, they are nearly equal. Although creatine is slightly less. The NAA/creatinine ration in the four different voxels ranges from 1.41 to 1.71 which is within normal limits for white matter in normal patients when standard deviations are taken into account. The choline/creatine ratio in the four different voxels ranges from 0.79 to 1.05, the higher value slightly above the normal range but of UNCERTAIN SIGNIFICANCE. The myo-inositol ratio ranges from 0.62 to 0.67 for three of the values with one of the values at 0.48 being slightly less than normal range. This minor difference is BELIEVED TO BE OF NO CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE. IMPRESSION: Normal white matter spectra of the brain without findings to suggest MRI negative demyelinating disease as questioned > > Great news, Deb! Guest guest
Deb, First of all...thank you for your prayers, I value the strength and power in prayer. The first MRI was normal but my doc said there were a couple of spots behind the eye that showed up...she said it was of no concern. The doc is sending me to another neurologist to make sure she is not missing anything. It took about three months to get this appt. at Duke and during that three months I have thought of cancelling because I have periods where I think I am totally fine. The next week or two I will get those left sided headaches again.I have decided to keep the appt.I did not have these headache before the implants! Still get a little tingling in my left arm and a little pain in left breast.(Always get scared thinking it is my heart. I had an oblation at Duke to correct psvt(fast heart rate) abnormal pathway...I have had since high school. Pregnancy and the implants made this worse. Has anyone had trouble with heart palpatations? The pathway that was ablated was the AV node (?) I think. This caused a aggrevation rythem, but still a little scarey. Since the implants have been out ...much better. Sorry for my rambling but thanks for listening> Debbie NC --- Deb <wwjddeb_99@...> wrote: > Hi Debbie, > I had MS type symptoms as you can read below, not > listed is that I > trip a lot, I loos my balance at times and I have > joint pain, burning > in the breasts and so forth. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Keep searching and do whatever it takes to get the answers that you don't have. My insurance denied my request to see the plastic surgeon so I will start with tons of blood tests tomorrow. And I will continue to work on other ways to have them take care of this for me. I never had headaches until after my implants, my vision got worse and blurred and all sorts of strange things went on with me and still do. Double vision is not fun. I will be off line until the 28th of this month so don't fret if you don't hear from me. I will continue to pray for you. Let me know what is going on with you... my email is wwjddeb_99@... you can send me mail there. Take care and Gods very best to you sister! Deb > > > > Great news, Deb!
