Guest guest
First of all I have a computer question. How do you get the name to show instead of the highlighted blue email address. I notice most peoples names are in black and mine is the email address in blue and I have gone into preferances and cannot figure it out, I am usually pretty computer saavy so this driving me a little nuts. Can anyone help me here? Second question I have is regarding the fact that so many of us wether implanted with smooth or textured, or gel or saline implants who have gotten ill still have symptoms. While we have improvements we don't ever seem to be the way we were and I am wondering about different theories on this. Why? Is it the fact that once you trigger an autoimmune response it cannot be shut off? Any one with any ideas here I would love to hear them. I know many believe it is toxins, this is a great theory and may be true, but if the implants are gone how can there still be toxins? Why do some get sick and others don't? I know these questions will remain a mystery but I would love to hear ideas from members. Thanks

Can anyone > help me here? , I found that when I post from the actual website, which I only do occasionally, my email addy shows instead of my name. I do almost all of my correspondence with the group from my e-mail program, and when I post from there, only the name " Patty " appears. You may want to try that and see what happens. > > Second question I have is regarding the fact that so many of us > wether implanted with smooth or textured, or gel or saline implants > who have gotten ill still have symptoms. Just my theory here and nothing more..... I think it has more to do with enzymes and how they act as catalysts, and the possibility that the ability to produce some enzymes has been damaged, or something along those lines. Enzymes are what makes bodily functions possible. It may also be why tests come out normal while we are so sick. I don't think there are many specific enzyme tests out there beyond certain liver enzyme tests. There are so many enyzymes in our bodies that researchers can't even identify them all. Enzymes are essential for breaking down toxins into substances that can be eliminated from the body, among all the other bodily functions performed. The number of enzymes your body produces is finite and you cannot force the production of more when you run out. Perhaps our implants have caused an enormous depletion of some important enzymes involved in the immune system. You can replace some enzymes with foods--raw foods--and maybe that is why some stay sick and others get better, why some get sicker than others, why some don't even get sick at all. Genetics plays a big part in this, but diet plays such a vital role as well. Certain supplements are enzyme catalysts, or act as enzymes themselves, or are vital in the production of enzymes, and why vitamins are helpful to many who suffer from degenerative disease. As for the toxins, you will never be rid of them! They are manufactured in your own body, by bacteria, by cellular respiration, by the digestive system, and by the ingestion of all the environmental pollutants we encounter on a daily basis, even absorbed through the skin. Yes, we may get rid of toxins introduced by our breast implants, but the fact remains that toxic pollutants are a constant blow to the immune system, and our poor immune systems need to be able to recover from the assault. Getting implants removed is one of the first steps, but the immune system may not fully be able to fight against invaders to the extent that it used to. That is why supporting the body in detoxification is so important. Again, these are just my theories....I certainly welcome other ideas.... Guest guest
I have not heard of muscle weakness being caused by RA, but it is more likely a side product of the fact that when you're tired and achy you tend not to be as physically active. There are some auto immune diseases that do cause muscle weakness and fatigue, so keep track of when you notice it and how it shows up, and be sure to mention it to your doc. I personally haven't been able to go off an NSAID after MTX, but have heard of people who have. Beth > 1. Is muscle weakness part of RA? > > 2.
