Guest guest
Hi Edie, I think you need to go back up on the Zoloft dose. I don't care what they say, I think you do experience some withdrawal symptoms from these antidepressants, and a psychiatrist has told me the same thing. Cut back way more gradually. And keep in mind that LOTS of us not on treatment still need an antidepressant! For you, there are a lot of changes taking place in your body right now. Maybe you need to stay on longer. Maybe you should tell your supervisor what is going on so they will understand the mood swings a bit better. (Well, you never know!) I doubt I'd know anything about jobs - I don't have one myself! Guest guest
I too went through what I call a withdrawal after treatment. It was weird...I felt much better yet was very emotional and even a little jittery. So I guess what you are going through is perfectly natural even though some people don't experience any withdrawal type symptoms. What you're doing sounds like drug withdrawal, mild, but nevertheless bothersome. Congrats on your commode flushing party! Things will improve as time goes by. Since I acquired hemolytic (I think I spelled that right) anemia with the addition of Ribavirin, it took me longer to bounce back......don't know that I'm " back " now. I do know that this is a vast improvement over where I was. Take care, Anne

Guest guest
Hi Edie it took me quite a few months to feel better after tx. A chinese herbalist has helped speed the process up enormously, maybe you can find one too? try and take things easy for a while yet. love Sylv Post Tmt Emotional Stuff > Hello Everyone: I've been off combo for 3.5 weeks now. I do feel a lot better and have lots more energy. > > But, I seem to be a bit moody and get upset really easy. I am not the type of person to react this way normally. Dr. took me off the Buspar the day I went off treatment and I am fine. Zoloft has been cut back from 100 to 50 about a week ago. These past 2 weeks have been a roller-coaster ride for me to say the least. I am starting to piss people off at work....supervisor even wrote me up this past week for being too defensive....this is NOT GOOD. Also, this is the time of year bonuses are handed out, and, of course, I didn't get one. > > Claudine: If you hear of anyone who needs a programmer in San , let me know okay? > > Anyone else experience this after combo? I am glad that this is the only thing that is bothering me. My hair is really growing in fast, I got my saliva back, I don't need to drink so much water, the headaches and stomach distresses are gone, my husband falls asleep before I do, and yesterday he came home from work to find me out mowing the lawn! I did gain 5 lbs right after treatment was over and got kinda swollen, but that finally went away and I am back to the weight and size I was right before coming off treatment. > > I still can't sleep very well, but it is getting better. I cut my ambien back from 10 mg a night to 5 mg a night and only take the benadryl about half the time. I will soon be running out of Zoloft, Ambien and Benadryl. > > I had a medication flushing party the other day and got rid of that cabinet full of side-effect medications I was lugging around. The only thing I kept was the Motrin and Tylenol. My youngest daughter had fun flushing the toilet as we poured all those nasty pills down the drain. > > Edie > > >

Guest guest
Oh Anne, I'm so sorry you developed hemolytic anemia during treatment...did it go away after treatment or is it with you for life. My dear friend's grandson kept turning yellow and getting sick and he was finally diagnosed with hemolytic anemia. Personally I was glad because I'd spent a weekend with them a few days prior to his turning yellow and was in a panic because it was initially diagnosed as Hep A, which would have been better for him but worse for me. So is it resolved with going off treatment or is it something that will stay with you?
