I plan to give this book to all new mothers too, but I will probably

mail it to them or meet them on other days to give it to them in

person, and then go with a more traditional gift for the baby shower,

as the shower day is supposed to be fun. I don't want to create

controversy and stress to a mom when that day is probably the day

she's waited so long for. I know at my shower, even though I was

already on the no-vax bandwagon, I would not have wanted to deal with

the debates that always spark when vaccination is mentioned. (Of

course, the debate sparks because of my passion, usually. LOL).

Just food for thought.

I love all of Mr. work.

I recently listened to him online give a presentation and it was outstanding.

I think everyone in the world needs a copy!

great idea

and for those that think that book may be too much for someone

(someone who won't read a lot), then his older book might be a better

choice by not overwhelming them - Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and Effective

Hi Marci!

We think a like....I actually purchased 5 copies with that intention

(shower gifts), but ended up giving them to people long before the

shower (as an extra gift).

Neil 's "Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and Effective?" was the book that brought me into awareness of the vaccine controversy. I haven't read most of the books on the topic (see, e.g., Diane Rozario's "Immunization Resource Guide"--editions I've seen reviewed dozens of vaccine books), but of the books I have read, this was the best overall introduction to the subject. It's concise, thoroughly footnoted (over 300 footnotes as I recall), comprehensive for its size, and convincing. has come out with a couple of other books on the topic as well.

's New Atlantean Press website used to sell state laws for $5--I don't know if that includes regulations as well as statutes, but statutes are also available online for free (see, e.g., links at www.vaccinerights.com/resources.html, or see your state's website for statutes and regulations and do your own search).

As usual, exercise caution with these sources' exemption rights/procedures information, most are a mixture of accurate and misleading and/or erroneous information in this department. Alan
