Guest guest
Caren actually does have symptoms which overlap both hypo and hyperthyroidism. The nervousness she complains of is associated with hyperthyroidism, as well as weight loss. However, it is usual to have an increased appetite, but still lose weight. I was just looking in my " Diseases " book, and it does state that with hyperthyroidism, there are menstrual irregularities, although it doesn't say what type of irregularities. As for labs, T3 and T4 levels are typically elevated. The same tests recommended for hypothyroidism are recommended for hyperthyroidism, including a TRH (thyrotropin releasing hormone) stimulation test Caren, it will be interesting to see what the doc says tomorrow. Your lab results are within normal limits, but yet something is going on. Please keep me, and the rest of us, updated. e > It is great to have you back e to answer our medical questions > with your educated background. Thanks allot.
