Thanks for writing such an honest article about a subject that seems to be

" taboo " -- that is, the fact that these SSRI drugs are not safe. The

saddest thing about it is, that the spectacular effects, like suicide,

murder, and carnage on the roads, are only the tip of the iceberg. You

allude to the fact that in " rare cases " they cause these spectacular events

of suicide and murder to take place. Well, how rare is rare? Two percent of

5 million is 100,000 acts of violence. But the minor horrors of a

population doped up on SSRIs are legion.

These drugs do not cure nor even ameliorate any known disease. They destroy

lives, relationships, and bodies -- brain damage, liver damage, heart

damage, and they are very difficult to withdraw from despite the fact that

drug companies can hide behind the statement that they are not addictive,

not according to the technical definition of addiction.

Worse than what they do to the body, they destroy character -- people on

them lose a sense of right and wrong, become insensitive to others, lose the

ability to feel normal emotions, lack empathy for others, become sexually

and mentally inert, become poster children for the " I don't give a damn "

motto, and to top it all off, they become, on these damned SSRI drugs ,

unable to have insight into what is happening to them. Rather than learning

how to overcome their problems, and grow stronger mentally, emotionally, and

spiritually from the experience, they are arrested in their development,

permanently in many cases, as they are often put on them for life. Great

for profits.

They lose their inhibitions against doing routinely stupid and destructive

things, which leads SSRIs to be known as the divorce drugs, and people under

their influence become horribly dangerous drivers, with the impaired

judgement and other brain deficits. The FAA will not let a pilot with SSRIs

in their system fly a plane, and that goes for the six months following

withdrawal, although withdrawal effects can go on far longer than that, and

even first show up months after the attempt to discontinue use.

These drugs have been a pot of gold for the psychiatric industry, and a

curse upon the world. It is heartening to see someone in the mainstream

media willing to write and publish any truth at all concerning them, and I

thank you for your efforts.
