Guest guest
It is encouraging to note that 72% voted YES, parents have the right to refuse vaccinations! http://abc.go.com/primetime/privatepractice/index?pn=index Ingrid I was appalled last night to witness my worst fears with regards to forced vaccinations play out in a dramatic tale via ABC's hit show Private Practice. For those not familiar w/this show, in short it is about a " wellness " practice which integrates modern medicine with natural alternatives. The reason I liked the show. But no more. Last night's episode was about a mother of an autistic child who refused to vaccinate her two younger children only to have one come down with the measles. Their practice where the child was seen went into red alert, sealing doors and forcing everyone present to either get vaccinated or demonstrate that they were vaccinated. It was as though the black plague was making its way through the city. Then they began to deal with the mother of the unvaccinated child. The doctors all huddled in a conference room to discuss how horrible this mother was to not vaccinate and said they should call family services because what this woman did by not vaccinating was tantamount to child abuse. Child abuse!! Much transgressed but just to let you know the climax (as if you couldn't guess), the child with measles ended up in the hospital and died. The pediatrician after many arguments with the mother over vaccinating her other child (she has a total of three: one w/autism, one w/measles and then one who is not sick) raced over, grabbed the arm of the unvaccinated child and quickly gave him a shot. I looked on w/horror. It made me physically sick. Another doctor defended his actions to the mother by saying he did this to save the life of the child. This episode was steeped in propaganda on the issue of vaccinations and most specifically the measles. The drug companies are no doubt most proud. It truly made me fearful for our future. Please write to ABC today and ask everyone you know who may care to write ABC and complain. Ban their network or at the very least ban the show. Here is a link to the network for complaints: http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html? lid=ABCCOMGlobalFooter & lpos=CONTACT Thank you! a ------------------------------------

Guest guest
Quick note - we don't have television, so I was unable to watch, but I, too, was interested and relieved to see the voting holding its own in favor of rights of families! Just as an aside - my kids have had the measles - it was about the same discomfort as when they had the chicken pox. t On Jan 9, 2009, at 10:35 PM, Ingrid Blank wrote: > > It is encouraging to note that 72% voted YES, parents have the right > to > refuse vaccinations! > http://abc.go.com/primetime/privatepractice/index?pn=index > > Ingrid > > I was appalled last night to witness my worst fears with regards to > forced vaccinations play out in a dramatic tale via ABC's hit show > Private Practice. Guest guest
Hullo a. When I got to the ABC site, the only venue or option for complaints or comment appeared to be Only for the Sports or News department. I could not find anything available for viewer complaints about actual shows. Once you get around the site, there is information to write or call........somebody........somewhere. I have heard that ABC complaint dept/or legal department seldom if ever answers their mail. It appears to be Bogus. So if you have some better ideas or ways to actually contact them about their shows, that would be affective, it would be appreciated. There is also no place to see other peoples complaints or comments. But if one logs into ABC, there seems to be a thread-type public blog there. I am not interested in joining ABC to see that blog. So if you know of any better way??? There are also consumer complaints about ABC and their lax policies for comments and questions. And thanks for your passionate review about this show and its very wrong issues or solution surrounding measles, vaccines and parental/health freedom. Glad Day ~ Karla in IL

Guest guest
So sorry for going off with wrong information, a. The complaint area Was there. I misread the Sports and News complaints wrong. Those were other options. The main complaint area was for the shows, and the pull-down menu for each show was there, and the reason for writing. I only wish there were more character room to write more.....not so space limited. I could have written a mini-novel. lol. Sorry again for the confusion and thanks for the link. Hope everyone complains about this, even if they didnt see it, Your depiction was More than adequate to set many of us off, about this type of fearmongering, and illegal doings and propaganda in the media. Bought and payed for, no doubt, by BigPharma goons. I rarely watch TV, but understand your missive with this really ba, unethical and inappropriate type of show. (entertainment!!!! HA.) More like our worst nightmare come true. My sincere apologies. Glad Day ~ Karla in IL

Guest guest
It's not easy to find that particular one on this link... Just boycott ABC altogether...and look into who owns all the major networks. TV is another form of affecting your health and mind people may want to consider not being so connected to. Guest guest
You know, I totally agree with that, Alan. We don't need to be playing their crooked little games. That would make us just like them. How do you maintain the high moral ground that way? We want truth and justice to prevail, right? The only way to achieve that is by being truthful and just ourselves. " ...whether you can get away with it or not, it seems likely to throw the results into doubt... " notwithstanding, I think we need to play clean and keep the positive energy going. Negative things like cheating just make us unsure of our own strengths and put a wobble into our gear. We need to stay strong and real to make a true statement and expect valid results. We can't go doing the very things we judge them for. It's not good energy. We have to be smart, not sneaky. That is how we will increase our numbers and prevail: by convincing, not conniving. Healthseeker > This would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. The spontaneous reaction was a 72% YES vote and they simply couldn't allow that. Guest guest
I'm with you Karla! This is basically what I've been saying on two lists since this started. Liz > > About this TV poll. That is all it is, a tv poll. And most polls such as this are corrupt, for the vary reasons many types of people even do polls. Entertainment! IT doesnt mean a whole lot. It doesnt appear that you can actually vote more than once, as there is no percentage change to vote again. That appears the only way you can reLook in order to see the currant standing. > You dont know the sources, you dont know the pollees, you dont know who and why the people are voting. They may be a younger audience, many who may not have children, or even teens or younger. Some may believe their negative votes, or that stance on this question. One has to hope that who ever had jumped on the initial bandwagon were those more honest with their emotions about all of this, and who saw the actual show, and those knee-jerk first reactions of those who it may have hit a sore spot, upset or insulted. The word has sure gotten around quickly about this show on both the pro and anti-vaccine circuit movements. They wanted attention.......they got it. From fear, hype and ignorance, and promoting this type of propaganda, which takes away free choice. > Who knows what has since thrown this balance terribly off in the other direction. For far too many peoples, these polls are just a fun thing to do, whether there is any beliefs behind it or not. Some people just like to vote on stuff, whether they took a moment to really think about it or not. Some people like to throw cogs in wheels, just for the fun of it too. If it is indicative to any truth or common thread, pray that those unknowing will some day open their eyes, get informed, before it effects them personally. Before their freedoms are lost in space. And they give up there rights to think for themselves. They the sheepla. > It was just a show, backed by Big Pharma money and bought out script writers. And somebody is getting their jollies at the public expense and turmoil. It is dispicable that the actors, whether they agreed with any of this sentiment, played it out. But it is just a job to them. Following orders for their meal ticket. > Yes the show was disturbing, for those who watched it. Perhaps even moreso for those hearing about it after the fact. As in...How Dare They! Sensationalized to the max. But it is just a show and they got away with it. I doubt there will be much fall out, as the studios are looking for those Extreme fear factors, controversy and debates to sell their wares. And brain washing, which TV is notorious for. > Forget the poll, Get over it. Life is Not that serious. Remember back in the day when Archie Bunker's show had the audacity to flush a toiliet on air. We were agasp! They will push anything these days, to the limits. And they try..and they do. Shock value is at a premium. It gets harder and harder for them to find that in an audience. Esp. on primetime. > So simply...if you watch TV or that TV show, dont watch it. Or ban ABC. Send a complaint if that will make you feel better. I sent one and yes it made me feel better. But I know it is just a spit in the bucket. Millions watch this show, and other shows like it. My opinion is not going to change that program, or tv programming, or do much to make them change their motives, or all the Garbage they promote. And I sincerely doubt they will apologize or anything. The hell with them, LOL. I try to avoid all tv most of the time. It assists in the dumbing down of our intelligence. Takes away our imaginations. Numbs our brains. Sedates our bodies. Take it from there....................... > Move On........ to more real and proactive approaches. This one is going no where...fast. But maybe, just maybe, they might think twice before doing these same types of show ideas again, or over and over. ...........................Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww lol > Glad Day ~ Karla in IL >
