Guest guest
Stacie, Please ask your dad to read this. Dear Stacie's dad, When Stacie's friends on the zap list offered to pay the cost of Stacie's internet connection it was not meant as an act of charity for her or for you. It was an act of love for a friend who is very precious to the many who talk here and to those who just read anonymously. Each of us has been frightened, shaken by our various medical conditions as Stacie has been, and have been in need, sometimes desparately, of someone to talk to who understands and has shared our fears, someone who can empathize with us. We are comforted by contact with those who can answer our questions. We are comforted by our contact with each other, even when the contact is only reading about (the feelings, fears, triumphs and failures of) others. We are comforted by the first-hand knowledge that members contribute about their specific conditions and medications. We try to cheer each other up when we get depressed, (and we all get depressed from time to time.) These things are what Stacie turned to this group for. She spoke to us, honestly and openly about her medical conditions and about her fears. And we spoke honestly and openly to her. What we never said out loud was how much she and her courage has affected us all. Each of us who have been parents have been deeply affected, at one time or another, by the thought of our own children developing a life threatening illness or injury. It is almost unbearable to think about such things. We have all grown to know and love the young people who have become part of this AICD group. Stacie, in particular, seems as if she were our own child and it would hurt terribly if we could not be there, as you & her mother are, to support her emotionally when she needs us. Many people here have been praying for Stacie. We hope that you will reconsider and allow us the pleasure of keeping Stacie online and in touch with all of us. I'm sure that your confidentially can be maintained. Thank you, Stu953

Guest guest
Apparently.. from a young professional internet person.. most of internet servers are private owners.. so apparently it would be kind of impossible that Internet would get down...If someone would have an argument, it would be interesting to hear about it.... thanks for your usual cooperation...Simply,Dann
