Guest guest
Hi, and welcome to the group! Glad you found us. I can understand your anger. For some people, it is very difficult to get off this drug. I suggest you first approach the doctor who prescribed this for you and ask him/her for their assistance. If they don't know how to help you, or refuse, or offer a different psych drug, find a new doctor. Ask about having your prescription changed to the liquid formula, and purchase a medicine syringe so that your current dosage can be reduced by very small increments. Your doctor or pharmacist will be able to give you the proper equivalent in millileters to match your current dosage in milligrams. Try to not reduce by more than 5% to 10% each week. Read the information on this link for further guidance: http://www.prozactruth.com/taper.htm Read of other's experiences using this plan: http://www.prozactruth.com/tapertest.htm If you need to find a doctor who can assist, try this directory: http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/directory/search.asp Please know that many have been able to taper safely. For some it was easier than for others. Finally, you may be interested in joining a lawsuit that was filed roughly 18 months ago on behalf of other Paxil victims who became addicted to this drug.
