Guest guest
I was going to use Gardasil as part of my argument but someone seems to have altered the Gardasil entry on wikipedia. Check it out... looks like some people are trying to avoid bad publicity.Safety As of February 2009[update], 40 million doses of Gardasil had been distributed worldwide,[25] with no evidence the vaccine has caused serious adverse effects.[26] According to the Centers for Disease Control, the vaccine was tested in over 11,000 women and girls (ages 9 to 26). The Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control say that the vaccine has only minor side effects, such as soreness around the injection area. The FDA and CDC consider the vaccine to be safe. It does not contain mercury, thiomersal or live virus or dead virus, only virus-like particles, which cannot reproduce in the human body.[27] Merck, the manufacturer of Gardasil, will continue to test women who have received the vaccine to determine the vaccine's efficacy over the period of a lifetime. Fainting is more common among adolescents receiving the Gardasil vaccine than in other kinds of vaccinations. Patients should remain seated for 15 minutes after they receive the HPV vaccine.[28] There have been reports that the shot is more painful than other common vaccines, and the manufacturer Merck partly attributes this to the virus-like particles within the vaccine.[29] General side effects of the shot may include joint and muscle pain, fatigue, physical weakness and general malaise.[30] As of 30 June 2008, out of over 16 million doses[26] of Gardasil distributed in the United States, there have been 9,749 reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following Gardasil vaccination.[31] Gardasil has less than half the average percentage of serious reports.[31] These are anecdotal reports, and "it is important to note that a report to VAERS does not mean there is a connection between the vaccine and the event. It means the event took place following vaccination."[31] The FDA and CDC said that with millions of vaccinations “by chance alone some serious adverse effects and deaths” will occur in the time period following vaccination, but have nothing to do with the vaccine.[32] Although at least 20 women who received the Gardasil vaccine have died, there is no evidence that deaths or serious outcomes were connected to the shot.[32] Where information was available, the cause of death was explained by other factors.[26] Likewise, although a small number of cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) have been reported following vaccination with Gardasil.[31][33], there is no evidence linking GBS to the vaccine.[31] The FDA and CDC monitor events to see if there are patterns, or more serious events than would be expected from chance alone.[26] In February 2009, the Health Ministry of Spain suspended use of one batch of Gardasil after health authorities in the Valencia region reported that two girls had become ill after receiving the injection. Merck has stated that there was no evidence Gardasil was responsible for the two illnesses.[25]no-forced-vaccination From: cusanusnicolas@...Date: Sat, 25 Apr 2009 00:06:48 -0700Subject: HOW BAD? Re: Discover Magazine attack... Respond? Their MMR trials were blatant fraud as well, with the aluminum left in the control group. Isn't Gardasil theirs as well? And the FDA wrote that Gardasil vaccs increased the odds of cervical cancer (or was it just genital warts, or both, I'm not sure now) by 43% per the clinical trials, then went ahead and approved it, anyway, turning a blind eye to all the false propoganda in the mainstream media that it prevented cancers... and it was Merck that deliberately shipped HIV+ contaminated vaccines to several foreign countries for use on infants... and Merck did maintain a "hit" list of doctors to run out of business if they didn't prescribe their own chemicals... oh, yeah, it's MUCH worse than we think.. I try to cover this stuff on my own website, too... Alan Foos>> Hey, from a different group, you might be interested in reading a horrible article in Discover Magazine. Some people are really wanting to hit back. Anyway, my own comment wasn't very witty, I suppose, but this was it (maybe you'd like to tell them something, too?):> > "Carrey doesn't go far enough, that's the only problem. This is called "Discover" Magazine? It purports to be scientific, right? I'll be sure to let everyone I know what a stupid rag it is, another pundit for medical fraud, nor will I ever forget it any sooner than the taste in my mouth when I barfed up the last bad pizza.
