When my son was in kindergarten, he was chosen by the substitute

teacher to take the attendance form to the library. The teacher

said " can you run? " My son replied that he certainly could and did

a little 10 foot demonstration. What she *should* of said

was " please walk down hallways, no running. " I have become aware

in the last few weeks how cloudy normal communications can be.

We are going on an overnight trip to the zoo tonight with scouts.

One of my husband's groups called last night with some questions.

I heard his side of the conversation. " I *think* we're sleeping

inside. " YES! We are sleeping inside. That is a major point--we

don't need tents! " We'll be leaving sometime after 9 o'clock. " No,

we need to be OUT of the zoo *by* 9 a.m. He sounded like we were

still in planning stages. For my group, I have a two page map and

instructions with precise details of the schedule of the day, cell

phone numbers, what to bring and not to bring, etc. Accurate

information can really make the difference between stress and

success for some (even NT) people.
