Britain apologizes 50 years after Thalidomide scandal

The British public health authorities responsible for allowing

thalidomide to enter the British health care system ... should have been

criminally prosecuted for " malfeasance " ... for

allowing pregnant women to be exposed to this toxic - chemical -

bio-weapon - causing them to give birth to deformed children.

Accepting an apology ... all these decades later .. while

increasing their compensation funds .. is NOT JUSTICE for those families

that were injured.

To me ... any public health official who obstructs justice by

pursuing the same " DELAY, DENY AND HOPE THEY DIE " strategy that

appears to have worked in this instance should receive even harsher

penalties for allowing these guilty individuals to escape criminal

prosecution all these years. When will JUSTICE finally

prevail over this morally-bankrupt strategy? When will JUSTICE

demand penalty .. not apology?

Is that Contargan? I know a medicine called Contargan was given to

pregnant women about 50 years ago in West Germany and resulted in

children born without limbs, etc. Is it the same chemical as in

Thalidomide?
