Marhoefer ~ The TRUTH ~ from attorney Tom Furth

I am sorry about this, but many of us who have been ripped off have

decided that this woman has come full circle and enough is enough!

In the seven years Hope4KidZ has been on the internet, we have never

run into anything as low-down and sorry and this whole mess is.

This is not some simple pissing match, these are just the facts, and

if anyone has a better idea of how to expose the FALSE-Hope she

gives to the masses, please let me know.

Mr. Tom Furth is an attorney and his letter is at the bottom of this

huge message. I apologize for the length but when people are taking

money from people who do not have two nickels to rub together, then

challenge me to verify, I do.

This is the RIGHT thing to do, although it will not fare well should

I decide to enter a popularity contest.

We advocate for children who are being abused in residential foster

care. We do just about anything that is needed, whether it is

advocating from the caseworker to the head of DFPS in Austin, TX.

Over the previous two years, has had more causes to collect

money from than anyone can count. Problem is, we have yet to find

anyone who received these funds. Maybe someone did but obviously

not the people whom she is supposedly authorized to obtain funds for.

This is a complete and accurate account of Attorney Tom Furth,

father of Neal and Eldridge (a very high-profile case from

Arkansas)response and complete shock that she was attempting to

obtain funds for Safe-Kids-Foundation . He was

unaware she was doing anything in his name as she has been

repeatedly told NOT TO involve him or his boys.

I am helping Mr. Furth with this need it is a very important one as

I know that you know that. There is a very serious area of children

who do not have any way of obtaining medical coverage. I have been

working with getting children medical care in other countries and

now am hoping to do the same here in the US.

I have been involved with them since the beginning.

Hello Tom,

It was my understanding that the Neal and Foundation is not

affiliated with Marhoefer, who is collecting money on behalf

of Safe Kids Foundation and the boys. said it was okay to

verify that she is " helping you " and that the Safe Kids Foundation

is starting up again, with your blessings and full knowledge.

If this information is accurate, please let me know.

Please inform me as to your knowledge and/or participation with

Marhoefer as it relates her statement in the top email, " We

are reorganizing our efforts with SAFE KIDS Foundation and Neal and

. "

Also, do you know Ms. Marhoefer personally? Have you spoken on the

phone with her? I was of the opinion, based on numerous phone calls

and email over the previous two years with her, that she was

personally involved in Neal and 's lawsuit, obtaining funds to

assist with legal expenses incurred by your pro bono representation

of the boys, and a major " player " in the Safe Kids Foundation. I am

not in the " loop " with Juvenile Justice Issues; Neal and 's

situation caught my eye because I know the fear that the " next time "

the Old Man loses it, it may be the last time for me or my younger

brothers. My heart went out to all of you.

Would you be willing to give me a reference concerning her actual

involvement with SAFE KIDS and whether or not you and the boys

received donations taken in by Marhoefer, Juvenile Defense

Foundation, Miracles-of-Hope, and through other organizations on

behalf of you and the boys? It appears to be a wonderful

opportunity to help you and your boys but I would like to know for

certain that you are actively involved and aware.

The reference I receive from you will be shared with members of

various that I have been a member of for many years.

Due to your sensitivity and willingness to represent these two young

men pro bono, I have admired for many years and value any light you

may be able to shed on your involvement with the reopening of Safe

Kids Foundation with the assistance of D. Marhoefer.

Although you do not know me, I have known of this case since the

early 2000's. Please tell Neal and that another Overcomer

wishes them well and that I am proud of the young men they are

becoming. It is refreshing to see young men who have already

endured so much tragedy, pull themselves above the past, and not

only Survive but also, thrive. I feel certain your love and care of

them has gone a long way in helping them to see above situational

circumstances, and to know they will have a future with all the good

things they desire to achieve.

Dear Joanna:

Thank you very much for your email. It is nice to hear from you, as

I have heard so much about you and the work that you do on behalf of

children. While I've never talked to you directly, I have certainly

been familiar with some of the cases and causes that you have been

involved with. Congratulations and THANK YOU for the time that you

dedicate and devote to such important work.

With regard to your letter about Marhoefer and the SAFE KIDS

Foundation, I can tell you that she is not involved with me,

and Neal Eldridge, or the SAFE KIDS Foundation. To the contrary,

she is NOT involved, and hasn't been for a period of years. I have

been contacted by several people regarding her " announcement " that

the Foundation was reorganizing.....and I can tell you that Ms.

Marhoefer wrote that without any authorization from me or from

and Neal Eldridge. When a variety of people sent that to me, I was,

in a word, " stunned " by what I read....in part because we aren't in

any " reorganization " at the moment, and Ms. Marhoefer in particular

had no right to make such a statement. She is not an officer or

director of the organization, and hasn't been for some time.

The future of the aforementioned foundation has yet to be

determined. The Eldridge brothers and I are contemplating several

things, coupling a desire for some " private time " with how we can

best move forward with the charitable work we all feel so strongly

about. One thing that we never anticipated was someone unaffiliated

with our work making some sort of false, misleading statement or

announcement.

Specifically, a number of weeks ago, Ms. Marhoefer offered to

solicit help for my family in the area of medical care, which has

continued to be among our greatest challenges. Without any

expectation of success, I responded as I would to any inquiry: if

you are able to help, great, feel free, and thank you. The boys and

I knew from past experience that the likelihood of success with her

efforts was.....well, about zero. And in our wildest dreams, we

didn't anticipate that Ms. Marhoefer would make some sort of

unauthorized " announcement " about SAFE KIDS, particularly when we

were so adamant about her NOT being involved with the organization,

dating back several years. Further, and with regard to her other

activities in juvenile justice advocacy, all I can tell you is that

based upon my own experiences, I cannot, do not, and will not

support any of her groups or programs........which I have made clear

to her numerous times. Without going into detail, I can simply say

that I expressed my moral and ethical concerns to her directly, as

did the boys, based upon our own firsthand experiences with her as

well as based on concerns expressed by others.

While I genuinely wish her well in her life and have appreciated her

kind words to the boys and I in the earliest days of our public

lives, we don't (and haven't for several years) have any connection

to her monetarily, in terms of business, in a charitable sense, or

at a personal level. We have never met her or for that matter

spoken with her via telephone, although we have exchanged emails

over the years. This slowed dramatically in recent times based on

some concerns that we had regarding her own organizations, which we

have expressed directly to her, which I believe is the most

appropriate way to do such things. I'm not sure that a public

discourse of our concern about ethical or moral issues pertaining to

her or her organizations is the way to go, as I believe that the

larger community of juvenile justice advocates, children and

families in need, and child abuse advocates will reach their own

conclusions, which I believe will mirror my own.

I hope that this helps clarify your questions. Please let me know

if you or any of your members have donated funds to any of Ms.

Marhoefer's various entities or, for that matter, to SAFE KIDS, in

my name or in the name of my family members.
