Guest guest
Gertie: You are doing it correctly. Calcium cannot be absorbed unless there is sufficient magnesium in the body. They can both be taken alternately during the day for continued effect. Magnesium is very good for calming the nervous system. Guest guest
I wondered whether some new process made it possible to combine them into one supplement. That's why I always avoided the combination supplements. Calms the nervous system, huh? Boy, I would be REALLY unbearable without my 800 mg. Magnesium citrate daily. Guest guest
You can make it from scratch yourself but the cal-mag easier if not as potent doing the " AtoB Calm " I know that the calcium and magnesium need each other and that there has to be a certain acidity for them to absorb so there is the freeze-dried vinegar in the AB Calm. Here is the recipe if you wanted to get fresh cal mag and make it yourself, people coming off drugs have a much easier time with cal-mag, the nerves have a cover of calcium and so keeping that nutrient in the body helps with withdrawal pains. Best, Jim http://waronaids.com/vitamins-minerals.asp#Calcium-Magnesium Calcium & Magnesium Many people are calcium deficient and the body needs calcium as a basic building block. Calcium works with magnesium and is synthesized by vitamin D. Many calcium supplements contain vitamin D for this reason and if you are going to supplement your diet with calcium, make sure your body gets vitamin D. I have found a very interesting Calcium Magnesium drink in Scientology's Purification Rundown Clear Body, Clear Mind called the Cal-Mag drink. This drink is very interesting because you take calcium gluconate powder (9% calcium) and magnesium carbonate powder (29% percent magnesium), mix it together with cider vinegar, it fizzes and you have a white paste. Then you add boiling water to the concoction and it becomes a clear liquid. It's almost like chemistry 101! The theory behind this drink makes the calcium and magnesium immediately ready for fast absorption into your body in a colloidal form. People Claim Calcium and Magnesium cures so many problems that it deserves your strong attention. The Cal-Mag drink could be considered a natural sedative without creating a drugged effect and it has been recommended to replace associated prescription medications. Magnesium relaxes muscles while calcium calms nerves and cider vinegar enables the calcium and magnesium to be absorbed into body tissues producing a very soothing effect. The Cal-Mag drink relieves symptoms of stress, anxiety, and basic aches and pains very well so give it a try! The Clear Body, Clear Mind vitamin and mineral table requires from one to three glasses of the Cal-Mag per day. Cal-Mag Drink Recipe Put 1 level tablespoon of calcium gluconate in a normal sized drinking glass. Add 1/2 level teaspoon of magnesium carbonate. Add 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar (at least 5 percent acidity). Stir it well. Add 1/2 glass of boiling water and stir until all the powder is dissolved and the liquid is clear. (If this doesn't occur it could be from poor grade or old magnesium carbonate.) Fill the remainder of the glass with lukewarm or cold water and cover.
