Guest guest
Wow! That doesn't sound too good, does it? Thanks for pointing this out, n. I was kind of wondering about that " Multiple votes are considered legitimate " rule myself. Didn't sound right somehow. I also am amazed at the kinds of issues that are riding in the top positions: 1. Legalize the Medicinal and Recreational Use of Marijuana 2. End the war on drugs 3. Free Single Payer Health Care 4. Pass Marriage Equality Rights for LGBT Couples Nationwide 5. Make the grid green in 10 years 6. Get FISA Right, repeal the PATRIOT Act, and restore our civil liberties 7. Health Freedom IS Our First Freedom 8. Save Small Business From the CPSIA 9. Forgive Student Loans: Stimulate the Middle and Lower Middle Class 10. Appoint Secretary of Peace in Department of Peace and Non-Violence 11. Develop & Implement a National Strategy for Sustainability 12. Decriminalize Marijuana/Hemp 13. End Corporate " Personhood " 14. Bridging the Empathy Gap - Yes we can! 15. Vegan school lunch options I mean, not that I'm strictly against most of these issues, but whatever happened to " Pulling out of Iraq " , " Peace in the Middle East (including with Iran) " , " Stopping torture " , " Closing Guantanamo " , " Improving the economy " and other must-haves that were pivotal issues in the last election? How come only " Get FISA Right, repeal the PATRIOT Act, and restore our civil liberties " appears from that realm and even that is #6? I have to be concerned on two counts about all this: 1. Is Change.org a legitimate entity that actually has a voice in these things? 2. and, with their shopping list, as it stands, will they at all be taken seriously? If not (to either of those questions...), then where does that leave us with our very real, very important concerns about Health Freedom? Any thoughts on this, anyone?
