'magine that. Looks like the body count is speaking for itself when

it comes to Zyban, aka, the antidepressant Wellbutrin. Wonder whose choice

the exclusion was - GSK or HealthMedia...hmmmm....

GlaxoKline, US' HealthMedia form venture to promote anti-smoking products

GlaxoKline PLC said it signed a deal with specialist US Group, HealthMedia to promote products through the development of personalised programmes to help smokers give up.

The programmes will be distributed primarily through the internet.

The deal with HealthMedia covers GSK's nicotine-based products, such as Nicorette chewing gum and NicoDerm patches in the UK and Nicabate patches in Australia and New Zealand, sold as NiQuitin elsewhere, designed to help people quit.

The deal with HealthMedia, initially for development in Europe and Japan, will allow smokers who want to kick the habit, to sign up free of charge for a personalised programme, which will be based on their needs and medical history, as long as they have bought one of GSK's products.

The agreement does not include the controversial non nicotine-based Zyban. Last week, the Medicines Control Agency last week revealed that 57 people died in the UK after taking the Zyban anti smoking treatment, since its launch in July 2000.
