Can-Fite cancer drug works on hepatitis-C

Still on drugs: Can-Fite BioPharma, which is developing drugs for cancer and

inflammation, said that its Phase I/II clinical trial of CF-102 to treat liver

cancer proved to significantly lower the hepatitis-C viral load in three

patients who have both conditions. Originally CF-102 was being tested for

anti-cancer properties, but in May the company observed the drop in hepatitis-C

viral load. Based on the outcome and safety profile of CF-102, Can-Fite said, it

expanded its trial to hepatitis-C patients to see the effect of the drug over
