I was in an e-mail fest with Dr. Shelton yesterday. He gave me this same

line of b.s. -- the my prolonged Paxil withdrawal was not from the drug, but

rather from some emerging BP illness. I told him he was full of crap. That

there

was NO way that I had a mental illness that lay dormant like what, the Herpes

virus for nearly 40 years, and then it suddenly popped out after I took this

ghastly drug? Then he told me I should stop complaining about Paxil and do

something, like get into a gene study so they could prove that I was genetically

predisposed to having these symptoms wrought by Paxil. I responded by asking

if if this wasn't another blame the victim scenario where the drug companies

will say " It wasn't our nasty neurotoxin that made you sick, it was your

faulty genes that caused your problems. " Sheesh., Where do these guys come up

with this nonsense???

Ummmm, isn't that the responsibility of the medical industry.....to do

that sort of research......and then require gene testing BEFORE giving

a prescription to anyone who wishes to take the drug. Heck, these

guys don't order simple EKGs or baseline blood test done before

prescribing drugs for which those tests are required. Like they'd

require genetic testing for a drug they now hand out like candy????

Right.

Gene testing is a bunch of lies as far as depression or most mental ailments.

It's not a far jump from gene testing to eugenics. To blame ailments on genes

when they know nothing of why or how people become depressed and for sure

do not know how to treat it is more lies.

It's criminal the way these psychiatrists stand up and even dare to act like

they know what they are doing.
