Guest guest
Hey all..I have been a member for 3 years now, and I dont say much usually..just read. To all of you having a rough time..you will survive..I have..it will happen. I am on my 3rd (yes third) year of drug treatment. Why do I say we all can survive? I have lost everything to this disease...my home, my career as a great ICU nurse, financial security, and my health. BUT..what have I gained?....new insights, new hopes, new faces in my lfe. Embrace these bad times as hard as it seems as much as you have embraced the good times. When you think there isnt a way..there will be. I was able to stay on treatment with NO health insurance because of the drug company's program. I was able to stay in my home which was 100 years old and the most onderful acheivements in my life DESPITE NO income for over a year. How? It just happens. God will provide somehow..even if it is allowing us to meet others in our lives whose paths we may never have crossed had we not been ill. I have met some beautiful people I never would have met had I not been sick. A family, and then her extended family as well. Had I not been ill and unemployed for that time..it would not have happened. As a matter of fact..it was she who found the drug program that I was ultimatley eligible for so as to continue treatment, not I. You can make it..I believe that. Hi Folks, I'm not aggravated. I learn from all the things discussed on the list. What a privilege to see so intimately how others with my disease cope. Healing does not mean that I survive. It never hurts to hear from a survivor. So I don't think anyone will be to aggravated. At any rate, you know we're here if you need us and this let's everyone on the list know that if they have a problem, we'll all put our heads together and do something about it. Maybe - sometimes. But we are NOT " HCV " . We are people who have HCV. And support of the whole person is needed, not just support of HCV issues. We can't separate one from the other. __________________________________________________
