So my question is, do I beat the daycare to the punch and give them a letter citing my state law for religious exemption or do I first wait for them to bring up the updates? I know people who have vaccinated before and then decided that they no longer wanted to have their chld immunized, get into problems with both the public and private schools, when the school is the one who had to contact them first. I've told people to go to the school with the form and beat them to the punch. Remember the the best defense is a good offense. I can understand why you would not want send out a red flag, but My question is did they ask you for his shot records when he first enrolled. Guest guest Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 There are only 3 " places " you can be with vaccine requirements: 1) up to date with all legally required vaccines, 2) exercising a valid legal exemption according to your state's laws/procedures, or 3) neither of the first two. It's this last category that gets people into trouble, as people there are not in compliance with the law and risk being held accountable for that. So, I always recommending doing one of the first two at all times (with a strong preference for #2, of course!). This way, you are not vulnerable to possible challenges such as medical neglect, or possible fines or other consequences (which will vary from state to state). Sheri - So now that we know what emergency situations may arise where the child could be given vaccinations as "standard procedure", then would a letter to the school/daycare simply stating should emergency situations arise no vaccines are to be administered without approval from the parent be sufficient? Put whatever you need to in that letter - I assume you probably are reachable no matter what happens but if an ambulance takes the child away before you can get there, need to have a letter stating that. But that doesn't mean anyone will remember your letter. She was playing kickball in the gym and slid into bleachers and gashed her knee. My opinion, it was deep but did not need sticthes. Even though I had it writtien NO TETNUS VACCINE they took her to the ER. They claimed they tried to call me but my cell was on me and turned on. They finally did call me because when they attempted to give her the shot she went balistic. She was screaming at them that she was snot supposed to have any vaccines and to call her Nanna. Thank God she had a tantrum. They did call and I gave them the impression I would come and calm her down. I did this because I was affraid if I told them no shot they would try to force her. I got there and saw the cut. I made a pont to ask if it was just tetnus or a TD. they said TD and I said no thanks, it has Thimerisol in it. They washed it up and we left. This is why we need our grandparents (if they are done raising the kids!) to call the health departments and make a fuss when they overstep the line, stand by their children in the delivery rooms when vaccines are given without permission, call doctor's offices when they refuse our grandchild because they haven't submitted to their ludicrious vaccine program! There are two groups in this country that do not have advocates, the military, who are ordered to take them, and young parents who get put in the suspicous category if they don't conform to the whole vaccine list. Why should a parent be faced with the potential for autism or threats put on the child every time they enter any school or program until they are 25 while the older generation is out playing golf? Did you all know that on a military base facility, there are no exmeptions for children---a non-vaccinated child is completely barred from school/daycare, so a working parent of a deployed spouse may have no choice but to vaccinate or what if a family is living overseas on base??!!! This is why we need our grandparents (if they are done raising the kids!) to call the health departments and make a fuss when they overstep the line, stand by their children in the delivery rooms when vaccines are given without permission, call doctor's offices when they refuse our grandchild because they haven't submitted to their ludicrious vaccine program! There are two groups in this country that do not have advocates, the military, who are ordered to take them, and young parents who get put in the suspicous category if they don't conform to the whole vaccine list. Why should a parent be faced with the potential for autism or threats put on the child every time they enter any school or program until they are 25 while the older generation is out playing golf? Did you all know that on a military base facility, there are no exmeptions for children---a non-vaccinated child is completely barred from school/daycare, so a working parent of a deployed spouse may have no choice but to vaccinate or what if a family is living overseas on base??!!! I think there is a serious disconnect right now between reality and the way we think things are! I know that's what they say and what it looks like and what others have reported, but I advise many who travel out of the country and all have been able to refuse vaccines for their children. But yes, the powers that be, small in number, but have us by the cajones and people have got to out them and expose them. There are beings running things (and always have) that have no souls or consciences - very different than the rest of us.
