Guest guest
" State Loses $4 Million in Kids' Vaccine " Santa Fe New Mexican (07/10/07) Del Mauro, The New Mexico Health Department is replacing $4.3 million vaccines stored in its refrigerator in Santa Fe after a malfunction during the July 4 holiday lowered the refrigerator's temperature to 32 degrees, which is below the optimal storage temperature of 35 degrees to 46 degrees. The vaccines for hepatitis A and B, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, and tetanus will be re-stocked during the next few days, and back-to-school immunization clinics will not be affected. About $4 million of the vaccine replacement costs will be covered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with the state picking up the remainder. _________________________________________________________________ http://newlivehotmail.com
