Guest guest
Yikes! Now that's a horror story! Did you get that sick right off the bat from tx or did it come on slowly? I guess I'm asking how long you were on it before you had to stop. Regardless, I'm sorry you had to go through all that, it must have been really tough but you sound like you're doing ok these days. Good. ;-) Gayle > > Hi Everyone, > My name is Sharon. > I took the treatment in 2003. I dind't complete it because I was so sick that I ended up in the hospital getting a blood transfusion. There use to be a group you could call 24 hours a day 7 days a week called Be In Charge. They kept a file on you and they really helped me through the hard times. I am looking at retreating right now. > So the side affects really vary from person to person. > Good luck to all with this disease and just keep the positive faith I have had this for about 25 years. > > > Sharon > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better Globetrotter. Guest guest
Gayle, Hi, I was about 3 weeks into tx when it really hit me. I thought I was going to be ok because the first 2 shots didn't affect me to bad, but then it was bad. I am not sure that the treatment that I did then I could ever do again. That was inter-feron and ribovirin. It almost did me in. I have tested undetectable for the last 3 and 1/2 years but I am sure I have relapsed. I go to the doc on Wed. for my next labs. So I am asking for all the prayers and luck I can get and I wish you all the luck and all my prayers go out to you. I am sure this group will help a lot. Thank you so much. Guest guest
Thank you for answering Sharon. So only a short time before you had to stop. I wonder what it is in people that makes one person's body deal with it ok and another person's just go haywire? I'm going to throw that question at Dr Yummy today and see what he says, there must be a reason. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Let us know what the results are.
