Bruce Wiseman wrote " Psychiatry: the Ultimate Betrayal " . Bruce is the US

President of CCHR.

A group of guys wrote " Men Behind Hitler " one of them is a German CCHR man.

I have read both books and was amazed and disgusted at the data. Pretty eye

opening.

My favorite book on the subject is " Mad in America " by Whitaker

http://www.madinamerica.com/

A historical look at the treatments and history of psychiatry. Mr. Whitaker

is a medical journalist.

I liked the part where he describes the wonderful Quaker asylums where

people could unwind and then

return to their lives. Good food and gardening and love and honest Christian

care that had amazing

results though it took time, not a quick fix. the AMA closed them down by

passing laws as the AMA saw it as

competition. A travesty and a crime.

CCHR detractors say that CCHR wants psychaitry outlawed or completely taken

down. They say we

are a fringe group with extremist idea's. That is incorrect. CCHR wants

" psychiatry to be brought under the law " .

Anyone that looks over the actually statistics of psychiatry's " treatments "

can see we have a fraud amongst us

and that it needs to be cleaned up for the safety of all. Destroying lives

for profit is truly evil and cannot be ignored.

Well said, Jim. I hate the way shrinks will " accuse " anyone who questions them

of being Scientologists. That's what my husbands shrink pulled when I started

to question these drugs. Of course, he was born Roman Catholic, and I was

raised Episcopalian, and now we are both Orthodox Christians, of the Russian

variety. But it is a convenient " demon " to deflect away from the issues -- I

think the word is " red herring. " gertie

Thank you Gertie.

I have a solution for that strategy of being " Branded a Scientologist " .

don't give a damn and say you are not a Scientologist but

stand beside them on this issue because it's bad etc etc. and the

Scientologists are right about this issue etc etc. Because we are :)

That branding doesn't work unless people let it. The main reason why we

(CCHR, Scientologists) get attacked is because we are a threat to a huge

industry and the simplest thing is to make up stories and attack us. Eli

Lilly sure did. We expose Psychiatrists, who is the front sales force for a

" science " that is harming people for big money. it's a great way to change

the subject because Scientology has been made so " contriversial " in the

media from day one. Don't let them change the subject, that's all I ask,

people really are being hurt.

There has been the same media blitz on my Church that I have now noticed has

been done with the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Luckly the LDS Church hasn't

had it as bad as Scientology has. I don't wish that carping on anyone or any

group. This country was founded on freedom of religion, enough said.
