Guest guest
Don't worry about being online, . You've got enough to do. When you say, " things aren't great, " I'm assuming you mean that you aren't feeling too good. I am so sorry about that. Good luck on Tuesday. I'm sure it will go well for you. What book did your son write? Don't worry about Mayo right now. I'll be happy to help you later if you need my assistance. Maybe if either you or your doctor contact Dr. Cotton, he can tell you the smartest way to proceed; that is, he should know who could give you the best, most thorough evaluation. Again, because your case is complicated by your RA and possibly an endocrine problem, you need to be seen by specialists other than gastroenterologists, too. Together, these physicians need to accurately assess your situation and come up with a treatment plan that makes sense. Perhaps Dr. Cotton could suggest who can best do this evaluation for you whether it be Mayo, s Hopkins, or his own clinic. Hope you didn't have too much trouble waking your daughter and putting her on cleaning detail! Take it easy, my friend. Try not to worry. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Ruf-Caimi " <ruf-caimi@...> < > Sent: Sunday, May 06, 2001 7:45 AM Subject: [ ] checking in > Hi , > I haven't been on much, things aren't great but it is the end of the term. > Plus I go for approval on Tuesday of the church I have been documenting, > the only thing left to do is the acknowledgements, and I need to think > about this before I write it. Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry for taking so long to answer this note. I have been busy with the end of my project. It is funny I have had to spend so much time on the acknowledgements. A lot of people to mention. I still don't feel great but it beats the surgery. I saw the Rheumy today, and he really won't do the Remicade. His concern is if there is an underlying infection it could be very bad for me. I have to agree with him, I feel he is looking at the whole picture. I trust him, and I know if he thought it was okay he would let me take the remicade. He told me he feels as far as the RA goes I am functioning but at a bad pain level. He told me if I want to, too go up to 7mg of pred.. I will try not to do that unless I have too. Tomorrow I see my primary. When my son was 27 he graduated from Cornell with his PHD. His book was his theisis, I have no idea what it is on, other than something with cells. I could never understand it all. His father-in-law is a doctor and even he didn't understand it. My surprise was he dedicated to me, for my patience. Anyone who knows me knows I have no patience. However, my son seems to think I do, he is funny. I wish I could say I could read the thing but I can't. Anyway I'm okay just a little upset that I seem to be the same. I ate tomato soup the other night and felt terrible for hours. Still I keep hoping for better days, even the RA is worse. They told me a lot of times if they use the stent, sometimes the bile duct heels itself. What I don't understand is how it can heal itself, when it is scar tissue causing the problem. I just don't understand it. After Thursday night I hope to be on with my friends more. Hope you and the kids are well. Have a good night, Me Mom ---------- > From: Matsumura <Matsumura_Clan@...> > > Subject: Re: [ ] checking in > Date: Sunday, May 06, 2001 9:48 AM > > Don't worry about being online, . Guest guest
, Please don't apologize for anything! Believe me, I'm quite surprised that you can carry on and do everything you are doing under these difficult circumstances. I'm worried that you continue to suffer and that you still can't eat normally. I hope your primary can suggest something. I'm not sure I understand the bile duct/stent situation either, but we can hope that it will heal. Please, God! That is cool about your son and his thesis. My brother did the same kind of thing for his PhD, but his degree is in film. His book was about the Vietnam veteran in film - so I could understand that! I have a copy of the book just a few feet away from me as I type. As for the dedication, that's sweet. Perhaps your son sees patience in you that you and others can't see. I think that you must possess quite a bit of patience in order to have had as many children as you did and raised them so well (and virtually alone!). The kids and I are fine, thank you. The end of school is near, so they are all about to burst with excitement over the prospect of three free and easy months coming up. May is probably my most favorite month - the spring flowers and flowering trees and shrubs, temperatures in the 70s, the end of school, the return of the beautiful birds. Good luck, Me Mom! Keep in touch only when you can. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Ruf-Caimi " <ruf-caimi@...> < > Sent: Monday, May 07, 2001 9:29 PM Subject: Re: [ ] checking in > Hi , > I'm sorry for taking so long to answer this note. Guest guest
Hi , I saw the primary yesterday and he is calling the GI doctor today. He wants this Dr. Cotton called for a consultation now. He told me what is wrong with me is so rare that he would at least like a phone consultation. So I don't know how the GI doctor will take this, if he doesn't call I think I may I have nothing to lose. I am not big on creamed anything, but I am going to try to make a soup with skim milk. Normally I can't tolerate dairy products but I want to give it a try. Yes, my son is neat a pain but neat. Ricky and I travel on the same wave length. I only have to look at him and know what is going on or better yet what he has done. May is a nice time of year. My favorite is the winter, I love the snow and the colder the better. I have always been like this, you would think I would like the spring better. I hate the summer and very glad when it is over. My project was approved yesterday so it is to graduation on May 20. I still have to take seven classes to get my history degree but the historic preservation is where my heart is at. I will be staying with the program. When you have lost everything like I did six years ago, it is nice to fine a new place to start over. Plus I have made the nicest friends. Hope you have a great day, it is suppose to be nice here. I will let you know if I hear what happens with the GI doctor, I think he will be upset when the primary calls him. I could be wrong but I know he and the primary have had a few friendly arguments over this whole thing. I will always go with my primary thought. Hugs to you my friend, Me Mom ---------- > From: Matsumura <Matsumura_Clan@...> > > Subject: Re: [ ] checking in > Date: Tuesday, May 08, 2001 11:29 AM > > , > > Please don't apologize for anything! Guest guest
, I'm glad your primary is advocating for you. If the GI man (and, unfortunately, I still have a bone to pick with him!) is secure in his own abilities and is really trying to do the best thing for you, he should not be angry with your primary's suggestion that he contact Dr. Cotton for a consultation. As the saying goes: " No one is as smart as everyone. " I'm ready to drive out and pick you up and take you to see Cotton myself. I know you're not a big dairy eater, but is it because you don't like it or because it doesn't agree with you? If dairy products upset your stomach or mess with your digestive tract, now is not a good time to experiment with creamy soup recipes. If they don't bother you, go for whole milk! a and I can vouch for Silk soy milk (tasty and organic!) if you would care to try that as an alternative to dairy. I'm assuming the doctor is just trying to think of some easy ways to put meat on your bones. Is that right? Congratulations on the approval of your project. May 20 is going to be a very special day for you and your kids. Try to feel better, and do keep us posted. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Ruf-Caimi " <ruf-caimi@...> < > Sent: Wednesday, May 09, 2001 6:44 AM Subject: Re: [ ] checking in > Hi , > I saw the primary yesterday and he is calling the GI doctor today. Guest guest
Hi , Dairy doesn't agree with me, but I will try the soy. He is only trying to get calories into me. Your right about the meat on the bones. One fear I have is at the end of this I will balloon up. I am going to try and go for very short walks. I am getting so still that I thought this might help. If there is not a decrease in the stiffness I am going to ask to go back on the mxt, I never thought it was doing anything was I ever wrong. My graduation will be fun. I have not ask anyone to come to it. I feel that it is no big deal. I told my kids and they respect that, I don't think they will feel the same way wjem I actually graduate from the college all together. My friend and I have talked about this and have decided to keep it very low key. She has also told no one to come. I really want my daughter lynn to have the recognition of being the first female in our family to graduate from college. I am excited about what my friend and I have accomplished and that is enough for us. Hope you are having a good day today, Me Mom ---------- > From: Matsumura <Matsumura_Clan@...> > > Subject: Re: [ ] checking in > Date: Wednesday, May 09, 2001 10:18 AM > > , > > I'm glad your primary is advocating for you. Guest guest
No more stomach ache or breathlessness today. I still can't tell if there is any change in the eye infection I took 8 drops of MMS last night. I did increase my sea salt intake .I hadnt been using as much as I usually did because I was running out so was trying to conserve. Maybe that tightness in my chest was electralite related too. Guest guest
I think Jim Humble has done something wonderful for the world of minerals but I'm wondering didn't he say we could quote up to a page of his work as long as we give the author credit? I'm a little confused as to what is going on here. Did someone quote more than a page? Pardon my stupidity my brain doesn't work so well anymore. Guest guest
Oh thanks . I paid for part 2 of the book because I support Jim Humble and his cause and I believe the $9.95 is well worth the price. I have to laugh when I see people say things like it's a scam. How can $9.95 be a scam? I paid more for toxic prescription drugs than the entire $80 I spent for a life time supply of the MMS. If you qualify $80 as too much for a life time supply of MMS and a scam I really feel sorry for you as your resources must be totally depleted. Sharon Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
?? How do you know how long would you live? Did you draw yourself a "line"? Interesting, how people try to control their long live into a short one ... Val Re: [ ] Re: checking in Oh thanks . Guest guest
I'm sorry Val but what are you talking about? I have 14 bottles. Are you taking this literally? I could probably swing another 13 bottles after the 28 years are up. Is that what you meant? Sharon > > ?? Guest guest
I guess I am missing your point completely. Sorry my brain doesn't work like it use to. Toxins. In any case what is your point? Sharon Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
Guest guest
It seems to me Val is nitpicking, I took Sharon's remark about a lifetime supply to be figure of speech. But with that said it worked for me because I'm 76, I bought 14 plus 2 = 16 bottles for 32 years worth which would make me 108 before I run out.....hmmm maybe I better start worrying huh? <grin> Jack
