Hi Ila,

I haven't been yet. I have been really busy having a new grandaughter. I

will send pics to the group.

How are you doing sweetie? I hope things are getting a little better. I

think of you and your daughter often. ( and your birds)

hugs and God bless,

Gloria from Ok.

Gloria had people in mind for the cat care. I hope that too is being

taken care of in the middle of it all. Sharyn, maybe you can find

that out from advocate.

I think she didn’t want to complain

to the list any more than she already had. 8-(

And I’m not sure just how this was

discovered, but she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and then when the

advocate took her to the doctor for some exam having to do with that, they

immediately sent her in to surgery because they discovered it had spread to her

spine. Still don’t know all the details, though. But her back should be

taken care of by now. Will call later.

And, yes, we need to get her on essiac

now.

Amen to advocates.

Gloria was not, at my conversation with her, interested in Meals on

Wheels as others were helping in the food prep area.

Ernie is her ex who she is good friends with and his wife has been

an angel making macrobiotic meals Gloria loves.

Wow, a week. I'll read other messages to see if i find more details

on where she is. I'm amazed they are having her return home vs. a

nursing home or such for care.

Glad cats are being cared for.

Thanks Sharyn for updates. Thank God for you!

I can only blame the crazy MD she had.

Even waiting for a list from insurance for other providers took

forever and I couldn't understand why the list of providers was not

online either.

I think Gloria still had the original " quack " and then came into the

picture the surgeon who she was scheduled to see on 10/10.

What a horrible system but glad advocate is the local blessing.

It's very hard to get action done long distance as I tried calling

county, giving her address out for services, and not sure she ever

got anything from them.

Thanks Sharyn.

Gloria even said to me " I could be dead before they get to see me "

when we talked about this crazy long wait to see the surgeon.

Even for them to call back with a huge hassle.

Sharyn,

Thanks for staying in touch with advocate for us.

Off to read about cancer spreading now.

Sharyn,

True, Gloria may not want to talk too much, but I bet company and a

nice meal from Ernie's (ex hubby) wife she would love chowing down.

She often spoke of the wife's delish meals that arrived as surprises.

Keep us posted Sharyn.

Thanks.

Gloria has insurance, but not sure about its limitations.

She was rushed to the hospital about 2 weeks ago for some tests

after, I believe, she had been to see the quack again. This doctor

had the report immediately, but works only half day on Fri. when

Gloria took test. The doctor never got back to her for days and I

think Gloria may have to call for results. She also received

something in the mail, I believe from hospital, on outcome of this

emergency test.

So I assume if the advocate took her to the surgeon who had her

records and was requesting biopsy, her going into the office in

person got his attention, probably examined her, saw the xrays or

whatever they did in hospital and we know the rest of the story.

I see the main problem was with MD who was dragging her feet. I

wonder how she hasn't been taken out of business yet. She could

have killed Gloria if it wasn't for the Advocate and thankfully

Sharyn starting the ball rolling.

clarification:

Gloria was told by dr. few weeks back to immediately go to hospital

for tests in which she did. I called that " rushed " below as by

doctor's order with her ex hubby, Ernie taking her.

She had a lump in one breast for sometime. It was not checked into

so she didn't have confirmed medical diagnosis. She didn't share

about the lump to others. Now with this whole ordeal and probably

recent tests, it was probably evident on them. Her one breast

was " growing " very big per our recent conversation.

I think on the back she had an injury way, way back--thought she

said like 20ish years ago, but not 100% sure on this fact.
