If your doc wants to give you antidepressants, don't close your mind to it. Talk to her about it. If your doc wants to give you antidepressants, don't close your mind to it. Talk to her about it. I do not have a Dr but when I had Dr's the Psychoneuroendocrinoligist...long title...3 Docs in 1 prescribed Celexa and also apam 30 mg a day, and Elavil 100 mgs at night which also has an antidepressant in it. The Arthritis Dr also prescribed the Elavil and Flexeril. The Pain management Dr was going to prescribe a narcotic and Aqua Therapy.....but never got that far before Insurance was terminated.
