Guest guest
I read that article on hypoglycemia. I have several of the symptoms and my husband has pretty much all of them! I am definately researching this farther and making certain changes. I have already tossed white breads. I now make my own wheat or rye...although I did just make a delicious white. I will have to check into organic flours more than I have. I can give up my daily coke w/lime and have it on occassion but my morning cappuccino is NEVER going away. I'll have to go to sugar-free syrup or soy milk...etc You guys are awesome! Kim
Guest guest
Kim, Here is another symptom questionaire on blood sugar problems - hypoglycemia is in that category http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/14-753571.html Another website for diet and related health issues you would probably like is http://www.westonaprice.org/index.html There is tons there to explore. They explain how to make your breads with sourdough starter instead of yeast, they grind their own grain. wow...hypoglycemia. > > > > I read that article on hypoglycemia. Guest guest
Like was saying there can be food allergies and I just have to pipe in on this. I was completely fried from working to much, a unhealthy relationship and just not really having myself scheduled in a sane way. My sister suggested I check out this chiropractor and talked about this thing he did on her she call " muscle testing " . I later found out the technical name is " Applied kinesiology " . This guy had me lay down and looked me over and then started putting bottles of different substances on my stomach and then would have me press my extended arm against him. Different substances would get a weaker pressure and he would notice. He told me I was allergic to coffee and I'll be damned that, by experiment, I do much better when I don't drink coffee. He said I had a lactose intolerance and so I cut down on cheese and milk and my digestive system settled right down. Since then I have discovered enzymes which help me digest even dairy. The best enzymes I have found, and man I really went looking, are from Celltech Blue Green Algae company. Now I can eat whatever so long as I take the enzymes and even something that would make me crater (I'm hypogycemic) like a baked potato by itself is turned into rocket fuel and actually used as fuel for my body where before I would have to take a nap. My disposition improved, I could think more clearly, my anxious, depressed, angry state was deminished and I basically felt great and none of it had a damn thing to do with any mind altering poisons. My clarity of thought allowed me to re-schedule my time and make more informed decisions simply because I felt better. I will say this, I believe that all " mental illness " can be traced back to the body and that there will always be some underlying, hidden thing going on with the body that when handled has a domino effect and actually solves the mental travail.
