Guest guest
There is a very detailed account of her life out there somewhere, Newsweek maybe? Time? Probably not available on line anymore without paying for it. And there is a book which I think goes into great detail. I had been looking for more references to this for another board and was reminded that she had abruptly been taken off Haldol at the same time her Effexor was halved and the Remeron was added. > > > > > > > > While I strongly believe that this conviction should be > overturned > > > and > > > > that she was undeniably insane at the time of the deaths, I > don't > > > see > > > > how anything will change in the long run, considering the way > > Texas > > > > law is written. > > > > > > > > Maybe the new info on ADs will help her case. > > > > > > > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > ---------- > >
Guest guest
Actually her problems started before she ever met her husband, IIRC. I think it was in college she started behaving " oddly " . Let me go check around if I can find the article I read. But like I said above, I don't think it's available in line anymore.
Guest guest
Yates is one of those situations that spurred so much press and that which goes with it - misinformation. I remember her attending psychiatrist in jail testified that Yates was schizophrenic and had been schizophrenic, dispite the fact that none of her preceding psychiatrists had ever realised or diagnosed her as such. In that psychiatrists mind, the preceding psychiatrists had been wrong but I think that substantiates more than anything the connection to the drugs Also, Yates had worked as a nurse prior to the birth of her children. Had she been schizophrenic and delusional - it would have been caught at her work, especially it being a hospital and her having to deal with people constantly. Delusional people have trouble holding jobs - Yates did not but rather had a good work record. Guest guest
I don't doubt had problems, we all do sooner or later. The only real problem that poor woman ever had was to get treatment from a psychiatrist (and also probably marry Russel). That's when her mental state spiraled out of control and thats when she was so over medicated and then cut of effexor and other psych drugs and sent home. Dr. Saeed is the one that should be in jail or at least have his license revoked. The father Russel and the lawyer had tons of incriminating evidence against the psych and they completely dropped the ball. Now Russel Yates is promoting that she get even more mental health treatment on CNN. I think the guy is evil encarnate. Actually her problems started before she ever met her husband, IIRC.
