Guest guest
Has anyone else tried the Lidoderm patches? I have used them for about four days now. For the first couple of days, I didn't notice much pain relief. Yesterday and today I have noticed a lessening of my pain. I am interested in other's experience with the patches. Guest guest
No, I'm glad for the info. Thanks. The pain doctors are trying to push the envelope on this I think. I have so many choices of places to put them I can rotate them. The funniest use I have found for them was after I had to chase my dog the other day. I had shin splints the next day so I found the most tender spot in each shin and slapped a patch on each. Guest guest
Dear , I ended up putting mine on with some flexible cloth bandaids (great minds ...) I don't have a picture of me on line yet. I will have before long. I am keeping this email to look up your page. It's almost 3am and I'm in a world of hurt. I have taken all the prn meds I have. I cooked myself something high protein, which helps me go to sleep. I'm on hormone replacement therapy, but I'm still having the hot flash from hell. I am praying for sleep. ; ) Willow --- M <brenda.morey@...> wrote: > Hi Willow-- > for some reason I tend to forget I have the patches > in my possession lol . Guest guest
Dear Colleen, Thank you so much for writing. I always have one one the top of each shoulder and my 3rd one kind of rotates where it goes. I wish they were more adhesive by themselves. They can end up balled up with the tape you're using and be quite a mess. They have undoubtedly provided me with relief in some of my hard-core, nothing with touch this tender spots. My cousin has very bad lupus and I've talked to sjogren's patients. You certainly have a tough row to how. Thank you for the info! ; ) Willow --- ccomm777@... wrote: > WILLOW > THIS IS COLLEEN FROM KS AND I HAVE BEEN REALLY SICK > WITH LUPUS AND SJOGRENS > AND NOT POSTED MUCH BUT I SAW YOURS AND HAD TO! > > I USED TO BE A PHARMACEUTICAL SALES REP AND SOLD THE > LIDODERM PATCHES WHEN > THEY FIRST CAME OUT AND WENT TO A WEEKS TRAINING IN > PHOENIX \IT IS USUALLY > 12 ON AND 12 HRS OFF AND IT CAN TAKE UP TO 7 DAYS IN > THE SAME SPOT TO GET TO > THE THERAPEUTIC LEVEL BUT I THINK THEY ARE A GREAT > PRODUCT AND PEOPLE WHO STICK > WITH THEM HAVE A LOT OF LUCK! > HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL WITH THEM AND TAKE CARE > COLLEEN >

Guest guest
I have nothing Jeannie.. Can you not just call your Doc?? Tom In a message dated 4/30/2009 1:28:32 P.M. We didn't get any info with it, so I was wondering if anyone knows what the difference is with all these different packagings, or if it's just more cost effective for the VA, and if one form is more effective than the other? We got a laugh from the lidocaine in the jar-it says it's spearmint flavored! He called the pharmacy to make sure he got the right rx, they said he did, but weren't any more helpful. They're so over-whelmed here with all the vets who retired here, plus there's a big Air Force base. Just wondered if anyone could clarify this for us. Guest guest
As a veteran I have also encountered the same problem with pharmacy and you may need to go to the pharmacy again or better yet, try to get into speak with the patient advocate. They are there for us Veterans and do not appear to have other agenda. Best of luck to you!!!! Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, I am by no way a medical Dr or professional and am not trying to give medical advice... Methadone is a long acting pain med and Dilaudad is a breakthrough med. I don't understand why he would have prescribed it without talking to your DH, that's practicing medicine dangerously. Can you call the pharmacy to make sure the 2 canbe taken together (I'm pretty sure they would have warned you when they filled it though if it couldn't be) I hope your DH gets relief from the pain and gets some answers to this med mix up! Take care, From: Abbott <jeannieboo1@...> Subject: Re: lidoderm patches neck pain Date: Saturday, May 2, 2009, 4:06 AM Deb, So you think they sent the wrong medication? We had something else happen today-he gets methadone every month also sent by mail, he received it a couple days ago-today, he received a bottle of generic for Dilaudad, he's supposed to take that according to the instructions, but his dr. didn't tell him he was giving it to him, nor did he say to stop the methadone-it' s a low dose for pain, we always thought when his pain increased, they would increase the methadone dose. He called the pharmacy, no luck, they said they would page the dr. to have him call us, of course we had no reply. Now this is getting scary, and I don't want him to take the Dilaudad until this matter is straightened out. He's been wanting to change drs. for awhile now, maybe this will make him get on the ball. This is the first time VA has really given us problems, they've been a big help up till now. The patches really worked better than the ointment, but what do we do with this new cream-have him take it back to his dr.? Thanks for your help Jeannie ____________ _________ _________ __
