Guest guest
Rochelle, I am confused and curious. First of all, you have shared that your pedorthist diagnosed you with CMT. What was that like? Did you have the EMG/NCV testing or DNA testing, and I am confused, because in my experience, my diagnosis was done by MDs. Did the Pedorthortist diagnose your Type of CMT? My medication management has always been done by licensed and Board Certified MDs, including use of morphine after surgery, which did nothing at all to harm me. My experiences with Stefan at swissbalance.com, who is my pedorthotist, include the proper fitting of othotics and shoes, molds, casting, etc. How is is you don't know about AFOs from your pedorthotist but the Pedorthotist can tell you about use or morpheine. Stefan, who is highly qualified, does in no way cross the lines into the MD world for me, but works with my MD if needed. Since you asked what AFOs are, I assume you wear in-shoe custom made orthotics by your pedorthotist like I do. How do these work for you? I am also curious about the material they are made from, as there are newer ones all the time. I am sorry but I am just confused by some of the things you said - also what IS your experience with morphine? Did you have it after a surgery? Thanks in advance for any clarification. ~ Gretchen
