Hi Everybody,

I am 32 years old and was dx with CMT about 6 months ago. I have

had it all my life just didnt know what it was. Always fell ddown

as a child and got made fun of. My feet and legs are more affected

than anything else. I had my feet operated on when I was 18, it

seemed to help alittle but back then we didnt know it was CMT

related. We just thought I had deformed feet. Now I have hip

problems. Hip dysplasia I was born with, I guess. I have had two

hip surgeries in the past two years and I am in more pain then I was

before surgery. I am now going to go in April to have the hardware

out and see if that will help with my pain. I was wondering if

anyone else has hip problems assoc. with CMT? I havent found anyone

else with the same pain and it would be nice to talk to someone. I

am glad I found these groups and some websites. It has helped alot.

Noone in my family has been diagnosed so I feel alone most of the

time. I think maybe my brother and Mom may have it but not sure

where it came from. I take celebrex and vicadin for pain and

inflammation but not sure how good it is for me. I dont know what

else to do.
