Guest guest
Hello Bob and Kenny, Although some of the group has gone 'round and 'round about alternative medicine, I tend to agree with Bob at this point. If conventional (and proven, albeit not in 100% of the cases) therapy has failed, I would now look outside of the box, so to speak, and look for other therapies. Obviously, you have nothing to loose. I've read some about silver and electro-therapy. If all else doesn't seem to help, Kenny, I'd suggest writing Bob off-group and see what he has to offer. Also, be sure and Google on some suggestions (and see what else may be out there). I do honestly believe that there may be quite a bit with the silver colloid, but I'd use that if conventional had failed (and, in your case, it has). Good luck with alternative treatment. Best regards to all from Rochester, NY Jim The mean years > > > Hey everyone first time ever doing something like this but I have know > one to talk to my wife tries to understand but its hard for her. > i have had HCV for 30 years im almost at the end i went through 4 > rounds of combo treatments no good my log count is 9.5 I'v gone from > 185 lbs to 140 in about 2 months the hcv has setteled in the joints of > my hands knees and elbos some days i can hardly move the doc. got me on > pain management (drugs) says thats all we can do for now that and wait > i go every 90 days and test for cancer doc. says its a matter of time > befor it shows up im still working thats kind of hard i am a > environmental health & safety manager for a construction company and i > am on the road alot. > Well thats all for now thanks for allowing to spill my guts I want all > to know there is always hope and thats what im waiting for. > kenny > > > > >

Guest guest
I have found this group comforting as far as having people to share with. I have not wanted to bore my partner too much, so the group has been good in that way. cococomb <cococomb@...> wrote: > > Hey everyone first time ever doing something like this but I have know > one to talk to my wife tries to understand but its hard for her. > i have had HCV for 30 years im almost at the end i went through 4 > rounds of combo treatments no good my log count is 9.5 I'v gone from > 185 lbs to 140 in about 2 months the hcv has setteled in the joints of > my hands knees and elbos some days i can hardly move the doc. got me on > pain management (drugs) says thats all we can do for now that and wait > i go every 90 days and test for cancer doc. says its a matter of time > befor it shows up im still working thats kind of hard i am a > environmental health & safety manager for a construction company and i > am on the road alot. > Well thats all for now thanks for allowing to spill my guts I want all > to know there is always hope and thats what im waiting for. > kenny >It is hard for others to understand what you are going through. Guest guest
Dear Kenny, How long have you known that you had hep c? If you don't mind my asking, did your dr. say you and your wife have to use protection for sex? I'm so sorry that you're having such a rough time of this. Does it mean that you have the genotype that doesn't respond well to treatment? I read about that recently. I don't know what kind of genotype my husband has. I don't know yet if I have it either. He sees the gastro. on Wed. Isn't the pain medicine also bad for the liver? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions...but please feel free to write anytime. It's necessary to talk to people about what's going on. I find it helps deal with situations better if we can verbalize it to someone. I hope you feel better, Chickadee > > Hey everyone first time ever doing something like this but I have know > one to talk to my wife tries to understand but its hard for her. > i have had HCV for 30 years im almost at the end i went through 4 > rounds of combo treatments no good my log count is 9.5 I'v gone from > 185 lbs to 140 in about 2 months the hcv has setteled in the joints of > my hands knees and elbos some days i can hardly move the doc. got me on > pain management (drugs) says thats all we can do for now that and wait > i go every 90 days and test for cancer doc. says its a matter of time > befor it shows up im still working thats kind of hard i am a > environmental health & safety manager for a construction company and i > am on the road alot. > Well thats all for now thanks for allowing to spill my guts I want all > to know there is always hope and thats what im waiting for. > kenny >

Guest guest
kenny, there's things you can do to try to improve your current condition that might make all the difference. even if you're stage 4 liver cancer. if you make the effort, do the work, you might get surprising improvement by the time the new protease inhibitors come available in a year or three, and they're showing awesome success in trials. ask your new doc about the vx-950 (or whatever it's called) and check him out for open mindedness is alternative techniques to address current conditions to get you up to par for another go. if he laughs off the alternative approaches as bunk, shop for another doc .... find one that's up to speed in the real world and is really about patient welfare. that's my perspective, for what it's worth. cheers, bobL > Re: The mean years > > > I found out in 93 did two years of treatments no good the doc. said > nothing about protected sex and we never have.
