Ladies,

I want to encourage all of you who have tried any of the detox methods to share your experiences with them, good or bad.

I don't want anyone to be afraid of speaking out when something hasn't worked for them, just because I have said that alternative medicine therapies have worked for me. When I made the statement that "anyone who says alternative medicine doesn't work will get a big argument from me", my argument was against the generality of the statement that "alternative medicine doesn't work". This can easily be debated with thousands of testimonials. I can assure you I will never debate a personal experience.

I have also never said that alternative medicine works in all cases. It doesn't always bring about a desired cure. However, with regard to degenerative disease, this is also true of traditional medicine, and please note the emphasis I place on this specific medical area. They are both two paths trying to reach the same goal, only one path is more dangerous than the other. Taking drugs in degenerative disease processes can kill you, while natural therapies do not. Drugs bring about symptomatic relief in many cases, but do not address the root cause of the disease. Natural therapies aim to fix the root of the problem. Thus, the time involved is much longer, there are no "magic bullets", there may be instances of healing crises, and sometimes it is hard to determine how much better you are until you can look back in hindsight over your journey.

Everyone has their own individual experiences, and I do want to hear about them, so please don't feel restrained to share....

I think this was a very good point that you are making here. I have

said it before and will say it again, what I have found for me

through my personal experience is that certain medications can and do

make life more bearable for those of us with chronic pain issues. I

have yet to find a natural therapy, other than maybe acupuncture,

that works for pain issues as well as medications. So in this respect

I think that it is important that those women who have chronic pain

and find it debilitating enough that it keeps you from living a

normal life, then by all means there is nothing wrong with taking

medication. My personal experience with vicodin has been good as far

as pain and also clonazepam has been great for me when I have had

anxiety issues or insomnia issues. On the other hand my luck with

anti depressants has been horable and I would never try any of these

medications again, seems there is something about the serotonin in

these meds that does not agree with me at all, that doesn't mean that

for some people they don't work, contrary many people seem to benefit

greatly from these medications. So I like to look at things from the

perspective that you can combine natural healing therapies, herbs,

supplements, diet and nutrition along with regular medical care and

if necesary presription meds.

I urge every woman to get an anual pap smear, mamograms if you are

over 40 (i think that is the age) and I still believe there are just

some things you need to go to a Dr about. I agree they are for the

most part clueless about implants, but they are not clueless in many

other areas and these need to be addressed as well.

So that is my take on this..I would love to hear others opinions,

come on everyone, speak up!

Juicing is a life saver. Beet juice in particular is great for the bloodstream, in fact beet juice is a "natural blood transfusion". Mix the beet juice with pure water, 50-50. A hospital will torture you to death. Most important is to keep your mom as pain-free as possible.

My best wishes to you and your mom............Betsy

Thank you. I am reading about the importance of diet. The only thing about her going home is her blood and platelette counts are extremely low so she needs transfusions every other day and platelettes are only provided by hospitals. She also does not have teeth so I am thinking juicing may be the better option for her.--- Recent Activity:

your loved one home and start them on raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, etc. Fresh-pressed juices, clean water....... .well, you know what I'm saying here. The absolute worst place for a sick person is a hospital!> Betsy ♪ >
