Guest guest
morning from Lafayete LA. I'm not taking the combination of drugs, couldn't afford it. And as I read other stories, don't think I could have stayed employed and had to make a tough decision. Just hanging in there until studies show something more effective for type 1A. Anybody have any other suggestions? God is with us as we struggle through the day. Jackie  ________________________________ From: judy pouncy <hootie069@...> none group <Hepatitis C > Sent: Mon, May 31, 2010 5:30:13 AM Subject: Infergen and ribavarin?  Good morning all here in Los Angeles. 3 months in treatment with pegasys and stopped. Guest guest
I remember the tossing and turning all too well. Try benadryl or ibuprofin. Good luck! Guest guest
Good morning everyone here from Iowa, Hi Judy,    I just started my third month of treatment of the pegasis and copegas. My lasted bloodwork just came back showing everything is good and that my viral load is dropping, not as fast as they want but it's still dropping so they are continueing with the treatment.   I also get the chills and fever and the upset stomach and all the stuff that comes with doing this. People look at me funny when I'm walking around with a sweatshirt and sweat pants on when everyone else is wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts but I'm cold and that how I stay warm. I don't go out very much cause I don't feel good so I stay at home with my computer. For my upset stomach I've been drinking apple juice and it seems to help, I also eat alot of banana's and peaches, and for some strange reason I crave peanut butter. I also have a hard time sleeping so I went and bought some sleeping pills, after oking it with my dr. and I get a little more sleep then I did, not usually at the same time but at about three hours at a time. For the headaches I take tylanol and sometimes have to take a pain pill cause I have bad migrains anyways and the medicines make them worse, my mom told me about taking honey when I have a headache at that seems to help also. I drink two cups of coffee every morning cause coffee is a natural laxative and a old remedy for asma attacks so it helps with the shortness of breath that I also get, plus I have copd. Today is the day that I take my shot so I won't be on very much for the next couple of days but I will be checking my mail from time to time but just may not be able to get back to anyone right away. Don't want to make anyone think I'm ignoring any questions, it's just because I don't feel good enough to sit here and type. lol. I'm having a good day so far and my spirits are up. Today I'm celabrating my 5 years of being clean and sober. I'm not letting anything ruin my mood no matter what. It's a great feeling and it keeps me positive about the future. I thank god everyday for getting me through another day and I know he must have a reason for everything that is happening so I take it one step at a time and one day at a time. I hope everyone had a great holiday, I know I did cause it was spent with my family and that always helps me. Guest guest
: The CDC (US Centers for Disease Control) states that of those that develop chronic Hepatitis C approximately 8-28% will develop cirrhosis over a period of 20-30 years. Also, of those infected with chronic Hepatitis C only about 2-7% will die from cirrhosis or liver cancer which is a profound bit of information to all Hepatitis C patients (especially the newly diagnosed).
