Guest guest
HI everyone and aspecially TAT.I.am so happy for you that you finally got a job.(Don.t get on your soapbox!!!!!!.)You deserve it.Oh boy that.s really good news. I bet you celebrated with the few good friends I know you have . I saw a picture of your apartment, only the balcony, with all the plants. It looked really nice.Should fence it in with chickenwire sothat the family can go outside.Step two now is the results of yr liver- lab -results and from there on getting treatment.A non-detectable Tat with a steady satisfying job would.nt that be nice.Willem. Sure is quiet... Hi everyone.... Been so quiet I thought I'd drop a note to see how everyone is doing and congratulate everyone who has been coming up undetectable lately. I've been working on a temp job with lots of OT so haven't been in touch much. Course I still don't know how I am doing since I've been uninsured for 2+ years so haven't seen a doctor. I've been experiencing a lot of fatigue lately but I'm blaming that on the long hours I've been working. Can't seem to handle long hours like I used to. Having a terrible time with hand numbness that is much worse at night. Sometimes I'm up for several hours before I can feel things with my hands. I always laugh when I'm typing and can't feet the keys...but in actuality it isn't funny at all. But I've learned how to function like this other then detail things like giving my cats their meds...hard to shove a couple tiny pills down a cat's throat when you can't feel the pills. But, GOOD NEWS...I finally have a real job that I start on July 7th. A real job with a real salary, benefits, paid time off, paid holidays...the whole package. It's with a small but very successful PR firm and is a newly created position as the admin to the partners and superviser for the admin team. Wow, it's been a long long time since I've had a decent job and I can't wait to start. But I had to give my temp job a couple week's notice...I'd committed myself to working there through the end of July and just couldn't walk out on them with no notice. So that's my update. How is everyone else doing?????? Blessings Tatezi

Guest guest
Thanks, Willem.... I'm really looking forward to having insurance again. I do have to make arrangements to get the afternoon of the 21st off because that's when I go back to county to get my lab results and see the GI. Now that I have insurance I wouldn't go back if it weren't for the fact they did a PCR 3 months ago when I was last there and I'd like to get those results. I mean why pay a co payment to have them done again when they've already been done. And once I'm in solid at this job, then I'll pursue tx. Don't want to do it right away...I remember how cranky I got before and think that I should be at work long enough for them to get to know me and for me to know my job inside and out before I turn cranky on them <g> My garden this year is doing well. I've given up the two outside railing boxes to the pigeons...just planted ground cover in them since the pigeons are always walking around in them. But have lots of hanging plants and inside planters. Even have two baby tomatoes on one of my tomato plants. Time to get chores done...thanks for responding Willem.... Guest guest
Dear Tat, First..Congratulations on your job. I am really happy for you. Thank God, you will have benefits soon...WOW! I too, have started back to work after 3 years...I am 'subbing' at my old job (Children's Library Assistant) They have booked me fairly often through July & I';m hoping to go back part time again. It feels good to get back there..like jumping back into LIFE! I am glad it finally stopped raining here in Connecticut..there were only a few days it hadn't rained in like a month or more. This week has been gorgeous and I've been enjoying the sun and warmth. We put up one of those heavy rubber pools (15' by 3.5' deep) The " QUICK SET/ 15 MINUTES TO FILL " turned into 5 days...but it's been worth every minute of work! So that's about it on my end. Again, I'm so happy for you. Take care, gee

Guest guest
Tat, you are a real trooper! The company that hired you haven't a clue of what a strong hard working woman they have acquired. After treatment I felt so good and went straight to work on 2 years of catching up on the house, my yard know...I over did the yard work it set me back just a little. I am seeking employment. I am looking into buying a salon. If you recall I was illegally discriminated against when one told the employers I had hep c. It is very exciting and time consuming. I still feel dehydrated somewhat. I get labs the 16th. I cleared the house of anything reminding me of hep c. things that were very helpful at the time like certain candles, seashells, daily affirmations. I want to put it all in the past. Both my sons are glad to have the regular thinking, cooking, washing, etc., back. That is my biggest joy. My train of thought is coming back quickly. I know personally of a man that did Pegasus's and I would say sailed through 6 months of treatment. I am glad and jealous to hear about this. Summer is here, the world is wonderful, I'll attend a wedding in Chicago over the 4th with my boyfriend and son from Norway. Till then bless you and everyone that helped me through a long year. I will be forever grateful for your support. In all sincerity, Donna

Guest guest
Yipeeeeee Tatezi....congrats on the new job....it took awhile but you landed one. I'm so happy for you...you deserved a break. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!! Hugggggs Carol Sure is quiet... Guest guest
Wow, Gee....with the weather we've had here the last couple days, I'd like to have one of those pools for my back porch <g> And yeah, it's been a rough couple years but hopefully I can get back on track now that I have a real job. Tatezi Re: Sure is quiet... > Dear Tat, First..Congratulations on your job. I am really happy for you. > Thank God, you will have benefits soon...WOW! Guest guest
woo hoo Tat! I know that's a big relief!!! Since finishing the high dose interferon for cancer, my fibromyalgia has returned big time. I'm now on several vicoprofen a day for it. I talked to my shrink last monday about how frustrated I was about not being able to do anything unless I took pain pills and we worked on a plan to help get rid of things we had control over, like my weight. I joined Overeaters Anonymous and looking for a nutritionist in my area. I don't know if that will help, losing weight, because I had the fibro even 10 years ago, but any thing I can do to possibly improve how I feel will be a plus. I told her I was so frustrated because I didn't think I could hold down a job feeling like this. I have been writing a lot. Working on my novel and working on some short stories. In July and in August I will attend writers workshops that I'm looking forward to. Hope you all are better than yesterday! Guest guest
Seems to me you are headed in the right direction with overeaters anonymous. I've put on a lot of weight during the last two years and notice that my back bothers me more and I'm slower to do everything. I don't know if getting some of the weight off will help fibro....but it sure helps your body in general. So give us a shout when you want to eat something unnecessary and we'll keep you busy until the urge subsides. Glad to hear your writing is going so well. I've been thinking of doing a short story on my experience at that awful job to submit to Working Woman or something like that. I mean how often does one get a job where you have to cut scotch tape in half length wise, paper towels in quarters, etc because to use a full piece would be wassteful. Hang in there...and keep us posted on how things are going. Tatezi Re: Sure is quiet... > woo hoo Tat! Guest guest
Wow, Donna, you are doing great. Funny how treatment drags us down and we don't really notice it until we are off treatment for a while. I too went through a massive decluttering of my house a while after I finished treatment. But be careful and don't overdo it...those joints don't take the wear and tear they used to. Were you ever able to file suit on that employer? I've often wondered how much the fact that I had Hep C affected the decisions when my company was doing layoff. The gal with Khrones (that's spelled wrong I thing) disease also got laid off and she was barely making survival pay. Good luck if you decide to open a salon. It's tough doing you own business...at least I think so. Tatezi Re: Sure is quiet... > Tat, you are a real trooper!
