Guest guest
CDC 08/10/07 CANADA: " 2,000 Told of Disease Risk from Tattoos, Piercings " Ottawa Citizen (08.10.07) The Durham Region Health Department said Thursday it closed an Oshawa tattoo and body piercing shop, Longhorn Custom Bodyart, due to the risks to patrons of viral hepatitis and HIV transmission. Health inspectors discovered the sterilizer was malfunctioning and determined contaminated equipment could have been used between Nov. 17, 2006 and Aug. 1, 2007. The department said that the transmission risk for customers may be low but nonetheless urged them to visit a doctor for testing. The shop kept client records and is assisting the department's investigation. _________________________________________________________________ A new home for Mom, no cleanup required.
