You know Anne, I am being considered by the PR firm for Pegasys as a

spokesperson for Hep C. I worked there for the month between my temp job and

then my temp job getting the money to offer me a full time job. And if this

happens, one of the things I hope to be able to do is make the public understand

the nuances of living with hep c...the fatigue, the dietary issues, the life

style changes that must be made. I am really hoping that it won't just be

talking about Pegasys, but a true HCV awareness program that incorporates the

Pegasys treatment issue too.

Talking to God, the Great Spirit, Krishna, Buddha...whatever name your faith

refers to the Universal Being because all gods are the same god...is a great

healer in itself. Too many people who don't realize that all supreme beings are

the same supreme being only with a different name for a different culture, think

tend to judge you by the name you use. Without the Great Spirit and the

teachings of animals and nature I often wonder if I ever would have reached

acceptance.

Tatezi

It didn't take me long to reach acceptance, it just took me, and is still

taking me a long time to learn and or relearn my own limitations. The seesaw

effect is the most irritating. I am also guilty of overdoing

on good days, which probably makes bad days worse. And as we've all mentioned

in the past, it takes a lot of patience to keep explaining how you feel when you

would prefer not to speak about it much in the

first place. Prayer has been a great sustainer for me.

Wouldn't it be something if I were the one they picked. It's a fluke I'm a

contender...I only worked there for a month. But then it's not so easy to find

people who openly talk about the fact they have hep c.

Gotta run....have a good...night....

Tatezi,

If they will actually let you speak with your own voice that would be

WONDERFUL!!!!!! If your ability to speak is anything like your ability to

convey

your thoughts via this medium (computer), you will be doing a great service,

both

to the firm, us, and the world. Barring that plan, if you feel up to it, you

might consider writing a book. Over the years, you have given excellent

advice, both in natural medicine and spritual wisdom.

I know I would never have reached acceptance without prayer. However, I am

still willing to fight a legal battle to keep what happened to me from

happening to anyone else. It's one thing to agree to a situation, it's quite

another

to have this disease through no fault of your own. Had I used intravenous

drugs, or needed a blood tranfusion, acceptance would have been much easier.

Anne...

I don't know what this will entail if I am chosen...but I do know that it's

pretty hard to keep me from speaking my mind. Shucks, that has gotten me in

trouble my whole life...even here with the group. <g> But I've been honest and

open with the various surveys they have sent me in their decision making

process...so they know I do speak my mind. I'm not sure that's what they want

though...they might just want a puppet who will say what they want them to say.

Writting a book...it's funny you should mention that. My friends have been

hounding me to write a short story about my experiences at that awful screw and

bolt place I worked at last year. And people have often mentioned that I should

write about my life in the 60s. But I seriously doubt I could produce anything

sellable....I've not experienced any thing that thousands of other people

experienced...and I have no knowledge of how to write a story.

Thank you for the giveaway of your kind words...it warmed my spirit.

Blessings

I'm glad. Spirit warming is very important in this world.

Don't sell yourself short in terms of writing. Just write the way you write

in this forum and see what happens. Besides its another soul cleanser.

It's strange, but when life isn't going my way, I do keep a journal...but when

life is going well for me, I don't seem to have the time to write. Maybe I'll

think about picking up a class in writing at the community college...but first I

have to pay the government off for the taxes on all those unemployment checks I

received. Just baffles me that corporations get all those tax breaks and then

they tax unemployment...the unemployed are the last people in the world who can

afford to have their piddly checks taxed.

Congratulations on finishing treatment. Hopefully the next 6 months will be

Thanks, Carol. It's been a long battle and I hope very much that I can sustain

my response. But if not, then I wouldn't hesitate to do treatment again...Willem

will always be my inspiration. He did three rounds of treatment and is a

sustained responder after the last round.

Pumping poisen into your body on a regular basis has to cause ill effects and

I've not seen any long term studies on the results of treatment. Willem still

can't sleep (maybe it's that studmuffin that he's in love with <g>), but I've

not found any effects that have been unbearable.

I think I'm going to ask the doctor at county to do a biopsy at my 6 month

appointment...haven't had one since '98 and it will be interesting to see if

it's changed.

Tatezi

Hi Tatezi....we're all praying for a SVR for you.....I know you've cleared that,

HI.Thanks Tat for being so nice with me.I feel a hell of a lot better after

treatment and not only because I.am madly in love,I feel like I.am twenty

again. The faint feeling which I always had around the liver area has

gone,sometimes I wonder if I hve a liver at all.My energy has gone up a 100

%.Depressiondips also disappeared.I have start working again almost fulltime, not

because I need the money (not really) but I like to work, what started as a

joke, helping a friend doing some renovation in his house has become a fulltime

occupation because people liked what I did and I move from one job to the

next, paid this time.Yes,I still can.t sleep for seven or six hours straight. If

that.s the price I hve to pay for feeling somuch better,so be it.Tat you know

that you.re going to be a sustained responder(you already are) and you.re going

also feel a lot better but it takes I think a year or so to experience the full

result of treatment.(In my case anyway)I.am not so clever as some on the group

who know soomuch about drugs, supplements etc.and I rarely comment on it.I just

give the group the stupid unscientific things of how I feel ,a joke once in a

while and try to give the impression that we should not make live to

complicated,love and support each other.Willem.
