Guest guest
I took my 2 yr. old to the doctor of Friday and thought that they were going to fit her with AFO's. Come to find out, the PT and OT told the doctor that they did not think it was neccesary right now. They thought that the weight of the AFO's would be too heavy for her. I was told by the doctor just to but high top running shoes. Do you know that they do not make a high top tennis shoe?! I had to get some hiking boots for her. Anyway, my question is, I though that AFO's would dramatically help her with the rolling of her ankles and she would not fall so much. I am now totally confused by this. I know that I should trust my doctor but she does not explain anything to me. I had an 8:45 am appointment to see her. Everyone else came and went to evaluate by daughter. At 11:30 am, the doctor shows p and spend 1 1/2 minutes with me. What a disapointment I have with the whole thing. I ask about excercises for my daughter and was told to keep doing what I am doing. They have no idea what I am doing with her. Does anyone have any input on this AFO issue? Would like to here from yall. KaraGet more from the Web.
