Guest guest
Must be fresh from good source and carefully maintained. Other wise you are at risk. where ever you are. Guest guest
Hi folks, my gastro had advised not to consume sushi with hep-c, since I do not care for sushi I did not question as to why. With my next visit I will inquire and post his reply. Take Care, Donna Gail
Guest guest
Donna, I would guess that sushi is a lot like tripe or menudo sort of in grossness. But I do eat menudo and other Mexican foods. I can understand sushi being " touchy " with the liver. I have heard of people who have gotten so ill after eating sushi that was not fresh. I eat everything fresh from my backyard. Grapefruits, mangos, aloe vera, avocadoes, etc. It's a beautiful yard. Nice meeting you. Guest guest
Suzanne, I don't eat all that much sushi but I never stopped because of the disease. I doubt I'm a poster boy for CLL & sushi as I have an aggressive form of the disease. On the other hand I've been hanging around for more than eleven years with it and still going. Now if you're talking about sashimi - raw fish - I guess chances are higher for getting sick from that. Our compromised immune systems might then play a roll. Best be sure your sushi bar has high sanitary standards. Most do or they wouldn't still be in business. Guest guest
Suzanne - my PERSONAL opinion, I would not touch it with a ten foot pole - I do not eat steak tartare (raw hamburg, some people love it), and avoid shell fish - Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
