Target Audience This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of health care providers who care for patients with HIV, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. Educational Objectives After completing this program, participants will be better able to: • Identify candidates who are at high risk of HBV infection and deliver prevention education • Select treatment strategies for CHB (including treatments for patients living with coinfections, comorbidities and cirrhosis) based on an understanding of the common ground and differences between guidelines • Compare methods for evaluating antiviral treatment response in CHB patients • Identify strategies to prevent or manage antiviral resistance in the long-term management of patients with CHB Physician Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) and HealthmattersCME.
