Guest guest
I guess I knew that iron had nothing to do with my anemia but spaced on it. I just have no memory any more. Between the hep, tx, the hypothyroid and being post menapausal I 'm sometimes lucky I can still find my way home. Two years ago when I had my biopsy I was stage 2 fibrosis and stage 2 damage. My 6 month pcr showed my liver functions (alts, ast, etc.) to be normal again so I'm hoping my liver will heal itself. My viral load dropped from 4.2 million to 5,000 something. But I'm definitely going to increase my B intake. Thanks for all the suggestions. Tatezi > I don't remember the state of > your liver so I don't want to give wrong suggestions for you k. Normal liver functions don't mean the hep virus isn't active. My liver functions have been normal for almost 10 years. The hep virus still is active when your PCR is anything besides zero. / Alley alleypat@... ----------------------------- My ICQ#:12631861<br> http://members.icq.com/12631861 12631861@... -------------------------------------------------------

True, but a lot of people with consistantly normal LFTs have little or no damage, the virus is NOT very active, as far as liver damage anyway. If your LFTs have been high, and fibrosis has occurred, then it is a pretty safe bet that if LFTs normalize during treatment at the very least your liver is PROBABLY getting a break, and it has been shown that during treatment fibrosis will often improve, even in non-responders. Even cirrhosis will sometimes improve! That is what the theory behind the maintainence dosing for non-responders (HALT-C) studies going on right now. Guest guest
Hi Suzy, Anemia can be a cause of tinnitus, but I have it bad too and that is not the cause of mine. Believe me, I know how you feel. If someone said they could cure only one of my health problems the tinnitus is what I would choose! Good luck! Guest guest
My husband gets a vitamin B12 shot everyditme he sees the doctor and he gets a burst of energy and feeling better for a few days after he gets it. Winne
Guest guest
says sometimes it burns and sometimes it doesn't - the Rebetron shot that is. We usually warm it up for 20 minutes or so before we give it to him. Of course he winked at me and said maybe its the shot giver - and you all know that is me so we still have a sense of humor here. I am wondering how hard the Peg Intron will be to mix up and inject. It is sitting at the pharmacy ready and waiting for us but we are still waiting for the letter from the doctor so that our insurance will help us with it. I love that doctor but his office staff is hard to deal with. He will be out of the Combo Saturday since we give him the rebetron every other day so I hope tomorrow we are successful at getting that letter we need so badly. Hanging in there and staying positive!!! Winne

Guest guest
Yes it does that I remember and the shots did not hurt at all either........I am still getting a really fiery burning when I do the Interferon shot I have tried warming it up and stuff, it doesn't hurt as much in the hip as it does the top of my leg, maybe more body fat there is reason not burning so bad. --- RLWINNE@... wrote: > My husband gets a vitamin B12 shot everyditme he > sees the doctor and he gets > a burst of energy and feeling better for a few days > after he gets it. > > Winne > __________________________________________________
