Guest guest
Hi Annie, allows anyone to create a group, that person is the owner and can manage the group, set the rules and appoint moderators if he or she chooses. The owner can give the moderators partial or full access to the management tools. The owner can even completely do away with or delete the group if he or she chooses. With a large group there is a lot of responsibility and can be time consuming, we should respect their dedication to what they do. I was asked to be one by Sharon the owner of the group because she had a need for a moderator, she was and is busy moving, and I was active on the board on a daily basis. I have no magical powers. Mainly what I do is review request for new members to join. Most are approved without question. Others appear to maybe have an agenda or a product to sell, and they do or don't get in after some questions. I don't turn on or off members at will. If you are not seeing a posting or someone isn't getting yours it is usually a problem with our host, or not all of the millions if not billions of e-mails make it through daily, or it could be in your filters section of your mail program. I have to check, for reasons unknown to me emails I want to see like from this group end up in my trash or spam file, so you may want to look there. All final decisions on the group go through Sharon our hard working and gracious owner. Like I said she is in the middle of a long and large cross country move, so she is not always available. Dave, Moderator and Chronic pain sufferer.
