Hi Connie,

If you are moving next week I don't think I'd do anything before then.

Maybe you can find a good doctor when you get there. You would have needed

to find a new doctor anyway, wouldn't you?

PS: This is just my opinion: You were on combo for about 7 months and still

not undetectable, even though your viral load had dropped significantly.

Now, you viral load has jumped, just like mine did when I stopped. You are a

1a. I think you need to find a doctor who will be willing to treat you

agressively, with daily dosing. (you sure don't need one that you have to

beg or twist his arm to get treated.) I know this is what I need, but

haven't found. So I am waiting for the pegylated, or a more willing doctor,

which ever comes first.

I don't plan on starting it right away but will have

to check into medicaid up there and stuff....what is

load thus you are a candidate for therapy.

* No, you need to be on a high dose daily IFN( induction thearpy) and

Ribavirin, so do not go back to old regime, which failed.

treatment.

Inverness.....Dr Sreenath in Clearwater was a good

one.

I wonder if my $500 share of cost (I pay first $500

each month) with Medicaid has anything to do with it.

yes genotype ones are hard to treat.. according to schering studies, 1b has

a 25% chance, 1a 30% chance and so on. but that doesn't take into account

any other factors.

Sorry to hear about your doctor being so negative for you so like everyone

else has said yes you need a new doctor. Theres always something - money -

bad doctor - no insurance for all of us to deal with along with having the

disease. Stress is the worse thing for Hepatitis C and yet that is all that

you seem to be under after you find out that is what you have. Life goes on

but it sure can be hell. - good luck!!

My husbands new attorney got a hearing date of May 8th so he is stuck in jail

until then unless he ends up in the hospital first. He is getting his meds

now thanks to him and he is going to try and get me in to see him next. So

things are looking up! Still can't believe the first attorney I had was just

going to let him sit there and not do anything to help him. Sounds like the

probation people are going to let him out on the 8th so not much left to do

but try to get myself healthy again for when he does get out so I can take

care of him. Miss him so. Thanks for being here for me. Stay positive now.
