This is to all of you!

Thank you so much for all your thoughts, prayers, words, encouragement.

Don't think I would have made it as well as I did this first week of

treatment!

You all are GREAT!!!!!

STILL POSITIVE,

Lora

Great prices on your insurance, mine is 50 per month but hey i 'm not

complaining because at first my insurance said they were not even going to

pay and so 50$ month is much better than 1150 a month which is what we

were going to have to try to come up with.

Lora..

Well the combo with my ins company (Caremark for pharmacy) is $15 per 3

months sent fedex.

Normally, if I get my script at a local pharmacy I can only get one month's

worth and it costs $15 for brand name/$5 for generic. But here combo is only

available thru mail as I think they prolly have some deal with a company

thing. Don't ask me details I dunno.

My doc just orders extra on the script since I'm doing more than than the

standard 3 X a week. I'll end up with mucho more ribavarin in the end, but

hey, not my problem. They won't unbundle it when they send it (Schering's

thing I think). My problem is eradicating the hep dadgummit! :))

Lora,

Every other day dosing is a little better than

three times a week dosing. It eliminates one extra

day when the virus is able to rebound and multiply.

But it is not nearly as good as DAILY dosing. With

daily dosing you eliminate all the in-between days when

the virus has the chance to recuperate and multiply.

Sorry for the confusion. Does this clarify it?

Hi Claudine:

You sure explained that much better then I, you have an excellent way

Take care,

Lora!!! I'm so proud of you!

I'm having a heck of a week.. end of month at work, lots of overtime,

grandkids sick, hubby sick (bug going around), luckily I'm not sick with the

bug, just the usual, then tonight on the way home from work, car breaks

down. We have to walk to a Jack in the Box for me to sit (I didn't think I

was gonna make it!) and hubby walks to a parts store. We get home about 8pm

finally.

Then my physician's asst calls, bless her heart. I had called her telling

her that I'm on some kind of crying stint, on and off, and my energy levels

are up and down wierdly. She is gonna call me in more effexor (I was on

100mg, then she upped to 75, now another 75 or something don't quote me).

Hopefully that will help. I asked her to order my combo to last just past

the 6th month pcr in case I lose my job. Dunno if I will make it to work

tomorrow or not. It takes about 12 hours for things to hit me hard. and I've

only 2 sick days left, no vacation time etc.

<sigh> so things have been busy! :)

don't need to feel sicker than I do most of the time,, lots of stress here

as mother in law had been in hospital so making a 6 hr round trip on my

days off work 2-3 days / week, she passed away so there was more stress but

I hope you don't lose your job. What a bummer that would be. I think I

mentioned before that I lost my job before I went on treatment. Although I

am glad I do not have the stress of daily job duties, I do think a job would

help me keep my mind positive.

This past week has been a stresssful one without a job. My 16 year old son

called me from the emergency room monday after school. Said he needed some

stitches and could I come and get him. 12 stitches later, he was home with

crutches, and home from school for 3 and 1/2 days!!!!!! AGGGGHHHHHH. Then

my 13 year old wakes me on a shot night to tell me that he has an ear ache.

Take him to the doc the next day and find out he has a double ear infection

that has blistered!!! Now there are two teenagers home needing to be waited

on. My mom came to help, but all we did was argue over the other doing too

much. Husband, of course, was gone ALL week!!!!!!! Oh well, I lived and so

did the teenagers !!!! LOL!

Alley Pat, hope your week ended better than it started. Keep us posted.

Sort of still POSITIVE :)
