Although my friend is suffering from silicone poisoning from her silicone breast implants. She has 3 sets that ruptured and then had the TRAM tissue flap procedure. She has ALL of the symptoms listed on your homepage. Nothing we had read on silicone mentioned hairloss which she has too. The doctors are of course not finding anything but we KNOW that something isn't right. We live in land, but would be willing to travel. She needs to find a doctor that knows and recognizes this illness. Any recommendations would be appreciated. THANK YOU and God Bless you all. I see the struggles Bev faces everyday. I wish all the BEST from the bottom of my heart. THANKS again, Bev's Friend Chrissy
Guest guest
HI Chrissy, Have you found a doctor that you can make an appointment with yet? I do not have a list of doctors who treat silicone poisoned women. I do have a list of recommended doctors for explant. Finding doctors who know how to treat silicone induced illness is one of the most frustrating areas for us ill women. I have wanted to put together a list of doctors who know how to treat us, and I know this has been suggested in the worldwide silicone support group as well, but it has never come to pass, for various reasons. Dr. Kolb has a silicone treatment protocol that I can suggest you follow. You could also make an appointment to see Dr. Kolb, and she isn't that far from you, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her contact info can be found at www.plastikos.com. Dr. Kolb is a board certified holistic practitioner as well as a board certified Plastic surgeon. You may also want to take a look at the files section of this website for more information on healing therapies. These are all from a natural medicine perspective, as I do believe that these methods offer us the safest way to heal. Take care! Guest guest
THERE IS A RHEUMATOLOGIST IN NEW YORK, THAT SPECILIZES IN SILICONE DISORDERS, HIS NAME IS GARY SOLOMON. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT HE IS ONE OF THE TOP RHEUMATOLOGISTS AT THE HOSPITAL OF JOINT DISEASES IN NEW YORK. HE HAS ALSO TREATED MANY WOMEN WITH SILICONE RELATED DISEASES. HE CANNOT HELP IN TERMS OF EXPLANT, BUT POST EXPLANT WITH ALL RELATED SYMPTOMS. GOOD LUCK GABRIELA -----Original Message----- From: Patty [mailto:fdp@...] Sent: August 14, 2001 12:15 PM Subject: Re: Looking for Doctors HI Chrissy, Have you found a doctor that you can make an appointment with yet? Guest guest
Hi a, Have you seen Dr. yet? Let us know how things go with him if and when you do! I had heard his name before, but remember what the source was. Since we've been communicating personally, I don't think many of the girls on the group know your story--I hope you share it sometime. I am truly interested in your healing journey, as I know all of the group members will be. Take care and do stay in touch.
