thing I've ever done and cannot get " there " . Or if anybody knows how to get

" there " . sheesh I have correct listing - it's on almost each email, but takes

you to " one list " of which there are like over 1500. thanx bunches

Now I'm really getting upset and I'm not supposed to do that being sick. I

HAVE this address. I mentioned that when I asked for help, why can't you help

me, instead of sending the same address which you cannot " get " to?? When

you get to the community it says you are not a member, you have to subscribe

again, which I don't want, you can't get unsubscribe. It's NUTS. I am not

computer illiterate - I can't get to the site. Please get me off!!! you have

my ok to do so!!! Thank you!

Please don't get mad at me. I'd like to see if I can help.

To unsubscribe, you don't need to go to any website address, you only need to

send an email to the unsubscribe email address that they have listed at the

bottom of most of the notes. I know how frustrated you must be, so forgive

me if I'm giving you info that you've already tried.

Dear Pamela,

I also live in San Diego, but am currently in San . When I get back in

town, we'll have to get together. Perhaps I can go to your support group

meetings with you.

Love,

Bren

Hi Pamela,

I'm not yet finished with my combo treatment. Since I'm a genotype 2b my doc

says I'll only have to go 24 weeks, not 48. I'm in week #14 now. This is

all depending on what my 12-week viral load blood test results show. I

should find out later this week or early next week. If I'm " undetectable " or

" non-detectable " then it's working and I'll keep going for the full 24 weeks.

If it's really low, like 1,000-5,000, I think my doc said that we'd " talk

about " whether to continue or not. I'm not sure what level it would have to

be for him to say that it's not working and so there's no point in going on.

The reason I have some " left over " Interferon is because the pens have about

21 units in each pen, but I only do 18 (3 units x 6 injections every two

weeks). That leaves 3 " left over " units in each pen, and I have 6 or 7 pens

saved in the fridge so far. I guess that would be enough for 6 or 7

injections, not the 3 or 4 I mentioned in my last note.

Some people do 4.5 units in one of their 3 injections each week to use that

extra Interferon, but my sides are already kind of rough and I'd rather

follow the recommended protocol and not push my limits any more than I

already have. I'm on the 1200 Ribaviran, which is the max, even though for

my weight I'm borderline with opting to take the next lower dose of that. I

don't think most doctors would recommend taking the extra Interferon.

Take care,

Sara

henry replies :

hmmmm if you dont go undetectable in the first 12 weeks keep trying ,,your

chances are a bit less that you will go undetectable with a sustained

response,,

but ,, if you quit at 12 weeks becouse you are not undetcable then your chances

of getting a undetactable sustained responce are none ...

some times it takes some people a bit longer than 12 weeks for there imune

system to kick in enuf to go un detectable , your best shot at it is your first

one .talk your dr into staying on the combo ,,

for some ppl the ifn or the combo is a realy rough ride , but , the dragon rarly

shows mercy .

what ever it takes to kill the dragon :)

My GI Dr never told me what genotype I have. How do you find out? I was not

at all impressed with my GI doc anyway and for further treatment I will look

for a new doc. Can anybody reccommend a good Hep Dr in Illinois? I am in

Central IL.

Thanks,

Amy
