Guest guest
I'm not really the guru, I got the link of the preop site. It was removed from the website within a couple of hours of it being posted to the lists. Of course, I had to do some complaining about the answering questions. > I don't know if the " charging " from Dr. R is finalized yet. He was (I > think) going to charge $100 to review your packet, and $10 for email > questions. is the guru on this. I did not go to verify the site > after I heard. This is what I have read. I do somewhat understand about > the packet deal. In our area, some practices will charge you for > doctor's notes to your employment. That's the facts girl. Take care! > Larice 01/04/

Thats funny, my medical doctor doesnt KNOW that!! Your smart. Thats it. I used to have all those symptoms!!! I used to have motor problems, drop down vertigo, all those weird things. I printed that , because your right, now i have a name for the darn thing. i know your right too because i have heard the subluxation bantered around etc. I wonder if exercises could make those ligaments stronger. I'm going to try your posture thing too.I agree with you, they always say that is important. And another thing, when this injury first happened i may have had a stroke, because i was messed up bad. I am thinking about quitting smoking! Gotta get rid of this Bill, before i do stroke out. Its alot of stress. Hey Rochelle, he has pancreatic cancer!!! karma. cindy > > Dear , > Ask your chiropractor to help you get SSDI. He should be able to do that because don't many chiros work with medical doctors or maybe his testimony is good enough for the judge especially if the state considers you disabled. Have you worked enough to get Medicare when you turn 65. Maybe if you get SSDI you get Medicare too? Then you would have medical insurance. > Disability lawyers get a percentage of your first SSDI payment. No cost up front. > Also as far as a diagnosis of what you have, ask your Chiropractor. I believe the term for what you have is Atlanto-axial instability or Atlantoaxial subluxation. According to what I read in an orthopedic textbook this disorder refers to loss of ligamentous stability between atlas and axis (C1 and C2); > - occurs most often in older children and adolescents; > - mechanism of injury is unknown, but is USUALLY DUE TO FORCED ROTATION OF THE NECK ALONG WITH SOME ELEMENT OF LATERAL TILT (SOMETHING A DENTIST COULD DO!!!); > - it can occur spontaneously or after TRAUMA; > - complete C1-C2 dislocation is a known complication of football spearing; > - pts complain of neck pain, occipital neuralgia(pain in back of head, behind the eyes), and symptoms of vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency (vertigo, ataxia(loss of balance, incoordination of muscles, slurred speech etc), dizziness, syncope(fainting), drop attacks, visual disturbances and motor and sensory changes (sometimes bilateral). > - prognosis: > - significant potential for continued displacement of atlas on axis w/ resultant pressure on spinal cord; > - vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency may lead to cerebral infarcts (STROKES); > > Rochelle > > > > > > > > > Well Tom, thats why i havent even tried. Because it seems HARD to get. If you guys get denied( like you Tom), I would never get it. Been thinking that I bet I would have to go thru all kinds of tests, more xrays. YUK. No one even knows what I have. They dont understand it and it has no name. So far I am in my own little world which is SAFE and secure. Doesnt sound appealing to step out into the vipers den of dumb doctors again! But it is something I have thought about doing. Right now i do have a lawyer, for another totally different thing, and i cant afford HIM!LOL I really ought to be on ssdi tho. I was classified as disabled years ago by my state, and not much has changed except I have NO health insurance what so ever. > > Hey Tom? do you have your license back? from the incident? cindy > > > > > > Not sure not applying for SSDI is the correct direction.. > > > Do you have a physician who has recommended it?? > > > I would go to a lawyer and let them here your case.. > > > They will not take it if has no merit because unless you win they get next > > > to nothing.. > > > Give it a try.. > > > Also what your age is a big factor.. > > > Good Luck > > > : ) > > > Tom > > > > > > > > > In a message dated 7/25/2009 12:07:42 P.M.
