Guest guest
Hi ! I totally get what you're saying about the " Monster Migraines " , I get those too and I wouldn't wish them on anybody! So, what did you decide after speaking with her? Do you plan on trying this again? Does she think she can help you or is she just not sure what might happen in your case? I know chiro's can help a lot of people, for example, but have also heard negative things as well. I wish you luck with this and hope that you're feeling better! Lots of hugs! Guest guest
, I too have neck problems and have gone to a chiropractor. He has helped some, but it still bothers me a lot, and I will probably have to have surgery someday. Regarding the headaches, a couple of years ago I got a migrane so bad my wife had to call 911. I couldn't stand up. They took me to the hospital and did an MRI but found nothing. I felt it was related to my neck, but I went to see a neurologist who specializes in headaches. She asked me how I slept, and I told her not well because my neck bothered me sometimes so I kept waking up. She told me that she had treated thousands of headache sufferrers and the great majority of them didn't sleep well. She gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxor--flexeril--and told me I could take it forever. Since I have been taking it I sleep much better and haven't had a bad headace in almost a year. I still have neck pain sometimes, but I can live with it. Hope this helps. If anybody lives in the Northern Virginia, the doctor's name is Faye Rosenbaum. She's great. Guest guest
Hi Larry, Thanks for the reply and I'm glad to hear your headaches are better! There isn't much more painful then a migraine! I have actually been taking Flexiril for 2 years; it was prescribed for my back spasms. I think my body is used to it, although it still helps me fall asleep, I'm still getting up every hour or two all night long until I finally give up between 3:30-4:00am. I started Lyrica last night to see if it helps with the fibro and I slept 6 1/2 hours straight! I haven't done that in almost 3 years so I hope that keeps up! Take care, > > , > > I too have neck problems and have gone to a chiropractor.
