Oh ,How I understand and my heart goes out to you.My familly didn't

understand either but at least were more compassionate. My sister -in-law has

told me that is " learning disabled " and is glad that she doesn't have a

child who can't talk.I guess he's learning disabled cause he gets between 90

and 100% on his work at school. Whatever. The one thing that seemed to help is

the fact that I would give them information on SI issues and

apraxia. Also, after they saw the results with the increase in speech and the

decrease in behavior it made a difference. As for my know it all sister in law

I " rub " in ALL the accomplishments that does and this bothers her

because she has " two perfect " childten.I know this sounds mean but hey I am

really tired of her.Anyway, the comments have gone away or at least I can't

hear them.Good Luck and your child is so blessed to have you for a mother.God

Bless.Gretchen

I can totally relate!!!!!!! My mother really bothered me recently.

My daughter refuses to go to Sunday School. She won't go in

the class, and has a tantrum if I try to force it on her. The

teachers are volunteers, and they really aren't great with little

kids. I also don't take her into the sanctuary because she can't

sit still and quiet for over an hour. I just haven't been going to

church, or my husband watches my daughters so that my son and I can

go.

I tried a few weeks ago to go to church again. It didn't work, and

I was complaining to my mom. She said that I better " teach my

daughter " how to go. She said that another woman that has a down

syndrome child takes her kids with her to church every week and they

behave wonderfully.

My daughter has severe brain damage that she got when she was 6

weeks old. She almost died! Her doctors are amazed that she can

even walk. Not only can she walk, she has been riding a bike with

training wheels since she was 3. She learned how to swim this

summer when she was 4. She has also been roller blading since she

was 4. She's been spelling her name, her brother and sister's names,

mom, dad, and baby. She just turned 5 and learned her phone number

just today!!!!

I am very proud of those accomplishments. Unfortunately, she still

talks like a 2 year old. I think it is very frustrating for her in

unfamiliar settings with unfamiliar people. She is smart and knows

she doesn't talk like other kids her age. She even says she's

scared. She goes to school great, but it took a lot of work on my

part. I went with her the first few weeks of school last year. I

still walk her to class so that she feels comfortable. Her teachers

are also very good with dealing with her!

My mom just has no idea what is going on, and I just wish she could

keep her mouth shut about things that she knows nothing about!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been having pain in my abdomen, lower rib cage and middle back

for almost 6 months now. I notice that it gets worse when I eat some

things, or exert myself. The pain medications don't seem to be

helping much. I overdid it about 6 months ago at a dog show by

pulling and carrying too much stuff, but that was 6 months ago?

They have done a bunch of tests, upper GI and ultrasound of my rt

side, blood tests, full heart work up, EMG and muscle biopsy. The

docs are at a loss and are basically all but telling me it is in my

head. I have an appt at the CMT clinic in Detroit on jan 3, but I

have a feeling this may not be CMT related and hate to wait if it

isn't. Any ideas???

Thanks!

Juli

Hi All,

I'm looking for advice for my husband, Mark.

He has been on LDN for 6 months. He has been on 1.5,2 and 3 mgs. Unfortunately this hasn't stopped progression. What I was wondering was, should he try a higher dose?I have read of people taking a higher dose e.g 6mgs and wondered what the thinking was behind this. The only side effect he has had is shaking when he wakens in the morning.Although not particularly pleasant it doesn't unduly bother him. Mark has also had quite a lot of steroids in the past, although none for over a year.

Theonly thing about the higher dose is he really doesn't want a return of his double vision or ON, of which double vision was his first symptom,as I know you can revisit old symptoms.Fortunately this has totally cleared up. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hello ,Ingesting chlorous acid (MMS) has not been studied, and there is the possibility of suffering from oxidative stress. The chlorine dioxide study was only done for 12 weeks and was done at much lower concentrations so it is not possible to draw conclusions from that. The best bet would be to have testing done and only use it if it doesn't contribute to oxidative stress.Tom>> so use when needed only then stop? because everyone seems to indicate a daily > dosage. hmm not sure now. what do you say?>
